The banner is split between left and right on the parent page view: I thought maybe I was missing a small detail because I've seen other documents with the two-page parent spread applied and the banner didn't show on the left side when clicking back to the main spread.

I'm trying to number the second level heading ("Mounting Instruction") in the form 2.1. I believe I'm using the correct Number formula in the "Number" field, but it won't change from 2.2. I set the 1st level heading "Technical Information" to start at 2 as I assume it's best to start a new chapter with each section. Any thoughts? I set up reference graphics in my table, but I'm not sure how to center them vertically. The table below is one of several tables with the same symbols. When I use the associated paragraph tag for the symbol, it pops in there nicely into each table, but none of the highlighted graphic below will center vertically in any of the tables. When I set various options such as "Indents and Spacing" within the Paragraph Designer, nothing happens. The graphic is not in an anchored frame when inserted, but it is in a frame within the reference pages, per Barb's training instructions. I could not find any instructions anywhere online on how to center these graphics. Luckily, all the other graphics are already centered somehow , although they have the same settings as the highlighted one. I did try moving the graphic around inside the anchored frame on the reference page, but it's a poor method for centering multiple reference graphics... You can see my cursor at 2pt font right above the graphic... The graphic in the Reference Page: Anyone with experience on the matter is appreciated! Thank you!

I'm copying content from a word doc converted to frame, but not table elements, so that shouldn't matter. It's a large document with multiple columns. I'm currently entering content into the coulmns, and I'm trying to fit a table with symbols into the column. The columns have sections separated by frames; the table is not at the bottom of it's section. I extend the anchored frame down to give the table some room to add more content, but the last row gets pushed down behind something. Even when I add a new row, I can highlight it, but I can't see the row. There's nothing below the table in the column that would be cutting it off, so I wasn't sure what it's hiding behind. The highlighted part of the document is the spot I'm at: The highlighted row below is what disappears. The cursor is where I'm pasting information. When pasted I've managed a way around it for now, but I'd thought I'd follow up cause I'm baffled. Thank you so much to each of you for your timely responses!

Looks like the images display fine when they are not rotated in Framemaker. I'll have to rotate them in Illustrator and then apply them in FM. Thank you for your help.

I'm working on a large 2-page file in Framemaker with several graphics. Depending on the color scheme (CMYK/RGB), I'm getting errors when producing PDFs. When choosing RGB, I get a blank 2-page PDF. When choosing CMYK, the PDF displays fine except my images are cutoff on the ends with white space: Anyone have experience with these issues?

I apply the first part with my paragraph tag (Heading3) and set it as a "Run-in" in the Pagination tab of the Paragraph Designer, but when I set the second part of the paragraph as "In Column" with my paragraph tag (Head3_runIn), it changes the first part to "In Column" and with (Head3_runIn) also. I'm sure I'm missing something or doing this in the wrong order.

Thanks Matt! I'll do some investigating, read some tutorials on reference pages and see if I can find out why my reference symbol won't show up. If you know of any other ACPs that may know the answer, let me know. Thanks! Update: I just needed to add a paragraph tag to one of my table cells to add the symbol, the symbol is set in the catalog. I think I overthink this stuff

I built symbol references that go into a table in my body pages, but only one of my symbols does not show up in the table: Table in the Body Pages: In addition, when I create a new row to see if it will add the symbol, it creates a new row with the content from the previous row: Any ACP out there know the issue? I am novice to moderate-experienced user of Framemaker, so I'm learning. Thanks!

I begin by typing the letters "NOTES:" and then add my styles (bold, Garamond, 11pt). I then create new format and save it. Then when I try out the format in the text, it's missing the text "NOTES:" Maybe I have an auto-number setting on that needs to be turned off?

Ahhhhh ok. I was wondering where to find the "bullet" option; it was in symbols. Also, I noticed that when I create a format, in this case, "Notes", and then get all my properties added, the text disappears but the lines stay after saving: Before saving globally: After saving and selecting the format in catalog:

Now that I have done that, I have two formats that won't delete from the frame. They were a couple bulleted items that I copy/pasted from a Word doc, and since I changed the formatting, I can't get them to delete from the document. They are in an "a, b, c" format underneath a table:

That worked What I'm ultimately trying to create is a Notes tag that can have multiple notes underneath bulleted. I'm not quite sure how to apply bullets to a paragraph format. When I select "bullet" in my catalog, the note disappears and changes to a bullet, but what I'm looking for is bullets underneath the note for multiple "notes".

The text was in a text frame only, but you were correct, there was an unnecessary frame. I deleted that frame, then used the Format->Customize Layout->Connect Text Frames to get the flow to continue to the next page. I'm somewhat familiar with Framemaker, but I'm having to refine my knowledge since I started full-time in the program. Thanks for your help Barb!

I have a 4-column template that I am working in; the text runs off the bottom of the last column, but does not start a new page or run to the next page. It disappears into the footer, although I know it's still there. There is a second page below it with the same 4-column format. I can see the text "Modulation Type" continuing below the footer before the rest disappears. I tried placing the cursor at the end of the paragraph and selecting "Top of Page", and also tried Special->Page Break and selecting the "At Top of Next Available" option, but nothing has worked. I'm sure I don't have something set up correctly. The image below is displays the bottom of the 4th column of the first sheet. The text scribbled out is just sensitive information in the footer:
