Of course. I was doing my initial testing to mimic the mobile responsiveness in Internet Explorer 11. This produced the issue of the TOC not becoming responsive and showing 2 columns. When using my actual mobile device it behaved normally, with no second column added, etc. I tested in a different browser on my desktop and used Firefox. It behaved just like my mobile device. So it appeared to just be an issue IE11 based on my quick testing. I'll use Firefox going forward for any mobile "mimic testing."

Hey Kathleen, when I apply my linked css above it works for the 5 grid layout. How are you inserting the css? I would recommend using a text editor outside of RoboHelp. Try creating a new blank project, apply the Indigo screen layout. Then change the .css files. Output the project and test the results. If this works for you, use that screen layout for your main project. When testing, I highly recommend backing up your main project though before doing anything. Hi Peter, firstly, my apologies for posting the css code as I did. I should have hosted them in location for users to download if desired. Regarding my other post you linked, I should have done some more testing before posting that question. It turns out my browser was causing my issue when attempting the mimic the "mobile view." When viewed on an actual mobile device it worked beautifully. The css code I edited to allow the TOC books and topic pages to wrap the titles is working - for a 5 grid layout as noted above in my original post. I have hosted both the layout.css and theme-1.css files on googledrive for users to download. Wish I would have done more testing before posting my question. My browser was causing the issues with the TOC items shifting to the right. When viewed on an actual mobile device, it works beautifully. Please disregard my question and "identified issue" above. Thanks.

Hi All - I've been putting the finishing touches on my current project for work, and realized that on some of my sections that contain a lot of books and topics, the homepage TOC isn't showing the TOC items correctly when mimicking the "mobile" view. I did some counting, and it appears after ~14 items (books or topic pages) a new column is created. However, on sections with < ~14 items (books of topic pages) it displays as expected - one nice column. Below are some screenshots to help explain what I'm seeing. I've looked through the css and for the life of me can't figure out what to edit to remedy the "additional" column when the page view is shrunk down to mimic mobile devices. Desktop Homepage View: Mobile Homepage View: Mobile View When I Open a Book that contains +14 items (books/topic pages) - it doesn't remain one uniform column, it shifts to the right and creates an additional column (there are two columns as shown below, totally 28 items): When I open a different book that has less than 14 books/topic pages (either from the top level of the homepage, or in a sub-book, etc.), it stays as one uniform column which retains the responsive look: Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions to try!

Probably the best bet. Going to make a copy of my project and do some testing. I'm most worried about identifying all the topic pages I'll have to fix. The report is helpful and will just take time to sift through. But note to self, going forward as the new owner of the project, be wary of placing a single topic in multiple books! I completely forgot the duplicate topic feature existed. If I use this method though, making any edits to the original will have to be applied 1 by 1 manually to the duplicated topics correct? The "link" so to speak is broken because it generates a new html file?

Thanks Jeff and Rick for the replies. The generated report will give me a good starting point. I had used the "Getting Started" topic as an example. Sadly I have 100+ topics that are shared, and over 1000 topic pages currently in this project. I only recently took over ownership and have been making improvements to the project. It will take time to identify all the areas where a topic is placed more than once. At least I can divide the organization by top level book using the report for organizational sake.

Thank you Jeff. I hadn't thought of using snippets. Do you have any recommendations for quickly looking up how many topics are re-used throughout the TOC? I have a lot of topics that are used in multiple books and I'd have to go through one by one to determine the overall impact. Any suggestions to save time to remedy my TOC navigation issue would be appreciated.

Hi All - I just realized in my Responsive HTML5 output that my TOC isn't behaving the way I anticipated. I am using Robohelp 2017, with the Indigo Layout. My Issue: I have a single topic page (e.g. "Getting Started") that is placed in multiple books within my TOC. Navigation from my Indigo homepage always defaults the TOC on the right of my topic page view to display the first iteration of the topic. Using the TOC structure below, if I were to navigate to 'Book 2' from the Indigo homepage and then select the 'Getting Started' topic, the topic page opens correctly, but the TOC on the right shows the structure as being under 'Book 1'. It always defaults to the first iteration and I don't know why? Book 1 Getting Started Topic 2 Topic 3 Book 2 Getting Started Topic 4 Topic 5 Book 3 Getting Started Topic 6 Topic 7 Is there a work around for this? My TOC and topics are organized by role at my organization and then as the user drills down it becomes more specific. Several topic pages are shared by multiple roles, thus my decision to place a single shared topic in multiple locations. I'm not sure what to do. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Rick, William thank you both for your comments. I meant to come back to this thread and reply sooner. Between work and a home renovation project I haven't had the chance. I took your advice Rick and dove into the CSS. William your suggestion of starting at 'text-overflow: ellipsis;' was very helpful. I did some testing and eventually got the CSS to function the way I was hoping. Thank you both again for your help with my question. If anyone finds this solution helpful and would like copies of my theme-1.css and layout.css for replicating the text wrapping for the Indigo homepage TOC Books and Topics please send me a Private Message and I'll send it your way. Please note, my CSS is set to work when using the 5 grid tiles per row. My Indigo ScreenLayout set to show 5 Number of TOC tiles in a row. Here are some example screenshots:

Hi all, first time poster. I had a question about the Indigo Screen Layout. I have noticed on long named Book Titles or Topic Titles, that the text ends shorts and displays (...). I've looked through the theme-1.css and layout.css, but haven't had any luck making the title text wrap and display everything. I've also changed the number of TOC tiles in a row in the Layout Customizations, but I'd like to keep it at 4-5 to display. I am using RoboHelp 2017 and have the recent updates. Any suggestions or advice on how to possibly make the titles wrap for both topics and books on the Indigo Screen Layout Homepage would be greatly appreciated.
