JohanElzenga wrote Of course it is possible, but it means that you’d have to keep an eye on what’s going on and move downloaded pictures regularly as soon as they appear in order not to fill up the hard disk. And no, uninstalling and reinstalling is not the way to solve this. Downloaded pictures should have all their edits, and Lightroom Classic should not upload any images. That is why I wondered what catalog you use because that may be part of the problem. You haven’t answered that. So I don't really understand what are the LR catalog or how they work but this is what I am using I guess If it means anything, I haven't really used LRclassic prior to trying to sync it with LRCC. Also when I try to move the pictures from where they are synced on my computer to my external HD I get this pop up. Does it make any sense to you? It looks like I will loose some data ("nor any change prior to this can be undone"), maybe the editing... Is it safe anyway to proceed with moving the downloaded pictures to my external HD? vvplem wrote In any case the best course of action would seem to stop the actual syncing and star fresh with a new catalog. But is that possible to do? That is what I already suggested, so yes that is quite possible to do. Trash the current catalog folder, create a new catalog, set the destination for downloaded images first and then enable sync. Ok thanks! So by "trash the current catalog folder" do you mean going in osx finder and trash it or is it something I have to do through LR? Also how do I create a new catalog? (sorry I guess this is very basic questions but I am out of my darkroom for the first time with this project and it's all very confusing...) Thanks again JohanElzenga! Vania
