I changed the default time for still photos on my timeline but when I play back my time line it still has th same rate of play or does not extend the time when it comes to stills.  Does the rate change only when the project is rendered or do I just don't understand how rate of playback works when it comes to various media or in a multi media project.   Thanks. ... I am not having success with exporting.  It runs till about either 97% or 100% and then does nothing else.  I get a fail message. Fail message is attached.  I did manage to successfully export at a different setting (NTSC DV) but it looked severely pixelated. Disappointed as usual with this software. Thanks. ... View more

I finished or I should say completed my 1st project and attempted to export it and no surprise I ran into issues.  The export seemed to work but seemed confusing on what the software was doing and so no tutorial really shows what is going on.  Here are the issues: named my project and selected a location to save it in but the software seems to detect the name of the 1st clip in the project not the name I gave the project when I finally figured out the export was actually running it took roughly 2+ hours to execute when nearly complete like 97% a message came up and said that Pr crashed and stopped the export and then a message came up to report the problem to adobe so they can troubleshoot the issue for which I gave the prompts the answers it needed apparently even though it crashed it still saved 97% of the project export in the folder I wanted it saved in I was at least able to watch the project to the point when the crash occurred I noticed my drone, cell phone videos looked good as well as all the stills what didn't look great were go-pro videos that we sized like a thumbnail so what is the issue there???? I tried another export with no changes made, it made it to 100% but did nothing afterwards, I checked the folder I wanted it saved to and there was an Icon for the second try but when I opened it the screen and other strange behaviors showed up so I closed it and deleted it. Is there a secret decoder ring somewhere that describes what some of the functions on the timeline panel, the source panel actually do?  For example how do you drop in or insert say a video track between other tracks without overwriting the other tracks?  What does the "slip tool" actually do and how does it work? Hello I have built my 1st timeline sequence with a mixed bag of still, video etc, I wish to add title media as well but seem to have some issues I cannot find a fix for either in videos, or the blogosphere.  I'm thinking the way I have panels setup or some mistakes I've made along the way are causing me grief. Issue 1:  In a nutshell when I activate title using the "T" symbol I get a cursor in my program panel and a new line in my timeline at V2.  I cannot get the text box to expand it stays red and remains small.  When I attempt to activate graphics the entire screen changes and my program panel and timeline disappear.   All that remains on screen is my bin, my source panel and the graphics panel appears. Issue 2:  my basic panels seem to not be arranged as they should be by default or don't behave in a manner I have watched while viewing tutorials.  I have some symbols in the top left of my program and timeline panels I have not been able to figure out.  For example I have "Program ! (2)" what does the exclamation point and (2) actually mean, I have the same symbol set up on my timeline as well.  Please see attached photo below. Thanks everyone. ... View more

I am working with Samsung galaxy 7 stills and am confused the options or what options to use when sizing them.  I have stills from a Nikon and a go-pro as well and all of them present themselves differently in my timeline.  I'm thinking I still do not understand what the panel options for fit and the percentages there in and playback resolutions are really about and how to use them properly. I am using an external drive to add files/folder media into my bin.  I've created my timeline with various cuts from this media and hit save etc,  When I disconnect the hard drive all my video clips basically disappear in my bin and in my movie timeline.  All that is left is a damn message that says "media offline", what the hell is that and why does it lose the file association.  In this case I'm losing MP4 media from my GoPro but my MP4 media from my cell phone remains.  What is going on here.  I'm extremely frustrated with the continual negative surprises from this platform.
