Hi folks,
Apologies for the trouble with file associations during install and beta installations. We've made some changes here, so with this latest release and hopefully going forward you shouldn't run into any more file association issues when installing new versions, beta versions, or uninstalling. Hopefully this fixes it for you!
Please let us know if there are any strange behaviors you notice and we can further look into it.
Cheers,
PG

Thanks @Ged_Traynor -- I've moved @Regis23272345ih25 's comment over to the dynamic text thread.
and, thank you @Regis23272345ih25 !
It's worth noting that you can currently adjust both Kerning and tracking within a Dynamic text layer. You also have Word Gap and Line gap. With those mentions, I still definitely hear you about Leading! This is something we're looking into and working on, though I can't say exactly when it might be coming.
In the meantime, you CAN use Baseline Shift to move a line or lines up or down and can somewhat serve as a leading workaround.

Pete

Thanks for the great report @Rene Andritsch ! We'll investigate this!
There are 2 things here shown in your gif:
Additional space below block button while dynamic text is disabled (expected: no extra gap)
Expanding and contracting dynamic text section of properties shows wordgap/linegap icons with no editable values (icons should not show if dynamic text isn't currently enabled)

Thanks for sharing the action!
I think I may have figured out what the culprit is here.
There's a new feature in the latest beta that creates a single history state for when you play an action.
It seems when I disabled this, your action was able to run successfully.
You can disable it in Classic Actions panel flyout menu > Playback options > Single History state
Is that the case for you too @davidk77915378 ?
I'm not sure what all is included in the load into stack script, but perhaps it interacts with history somehow?

I believe Dynamic text button is disabled if multiple type layers are selected or if the type layer is Right to Left. Would either of these scenarios be true in your document?

Looks like the panel is populated but its size needs an increase in height.
Are you able to grab the bottom edge of the panel and resize it?
Another option would be to reset the Essentials workspace via Window > Workspace > Reset Essentials. This should adjust the default size of the Actions panel to the new taller defaults.

What happens when you run the action?
Does running it from Classic Actions make any difference?
Does it make any difference to disable Single History State from Classic Actions panel flyout menu > Playback Options?
Can you share the action with this thread to test out? Might need to rename it to .txt or.zip if the forum doesn't allow a .atn file to attach. Not sure there.

Pete

Hi @guidow95450819 ,
Thanks for letting us know what you're seeing in the beta community!
Currently we're working on enabling action creation with the new actions panel changes so stay tuned on that.
In the meantime, while we work on the create, edit, and detail views of actions, you can create new, edit, or import actions in the Classic Actions view. To switch to Classic view, use the Actions panel flyout menu and choose Classic Actions.
See this thread for More info on the Actions panel changes

Hi @O. Inha !
Really appreciate you coming to the community and providing your feedback. It's a great idea and a tooltip is in there now, but perhaps it takes longer than some might wait to see it. Hopefully we can get that button enabled sooner than later!
Please let us know if you have any additional feedback you'd like to share!

Pete

Hi @Sami_PA !
Thank you for trying the Actions panel changes and sharing your intial feedback and nervous concern!
I'll address your great points below:
First and foremost, please do not remove the old way actions work Absolutely! While working on actions, the MO has been do "first do no harm" relative to current workflows. We're well aware than many professionals rely on actions to speed up repetitive workflows (and more!) and will work to retain all existing workflows folks have with the Actions panel.
HOTKEYS 100%, ability to assign hotkeys is on the list of features that we'll retain, we know how important this is. Eventually we'd like to expand the list to more than the F keys but that won't come right away.
Live View Awesome! Glad you're enjoying that, we're going to continue building this functionality out. Stay tuned.
tabs within a panel This is great feedback and we'll need to look into this consideration. Thank you. Hopefully hotkeys, search, and additional improvements we're planning can reduce the need to switch back and forth as often, but it sounds like you're describing a workspace where maybe you can see both suggested and yours views simultaneously.
Typing in Search This is great feedback and something to keep this in mind as we continue to build out further improvements to the Actions panel. For some that have their own library of hundreds or thousands of custom actions, we hope that search can provide an easy way to filter their own libraries for the task at hand.
Further capabilities for actions We do care! I know I'd love to hear your thoughts of how Actions panel could be made better for somebody like yourself. Feel free to post here directly or you could even email me at petgreen at adobe dot com. Would love to see where you think we can add function and power to the actions panel.
To your last point, until we're able to get the new actions view to have feature parity with the classic actions, you will be able to switch to the Classic actions view and your workspace preference will be remembered.
Hopefully I've responded to all of your feedback above and that you can take heart in knowing that we're not done and are listening! If I missed any of your concerns please let me know!
Regards,
Pete

Hi @insider77 ,
Thanks for checking in. As you've noticed there's a new way that history states are managed with the new panel updates.
You can adjust the history behavior in the Classic Actions panel Flyout menu > Playback options > Single History State .

Hi folks!
We're excited to release the first steps of the newly improved Actions panel for you to work with.
You can access the Actions panel through Window > Actions.
The improved Actions panel, available now in Photoshop beta, is equipped with thousands of new possibilities to assist you with making easy edits to your images.
Look for these new changes to the Actions panel!
New UI! (with more to come!)
Hundreds of newly bundled actions
Suggested and Featured actions
Search
Action previews
More ways to Play or Apply an action
Undo actions easier with "Single History State"
NEW ACTIONS UI
The Actions panel user interace and experience has been updated with the first of many updates. Currently, the focus is with Actions search, suggestions and playback. There will be more updates coming in the near future, so stay tuned!
SUGGESTED EDITS AND FEATURED ESSENTIALS The Actions panel analyzes your image and suggests an initial 5 edits Based on your image.
Hover to preview or click to play one or more of the suggested edits.
To see more suggestions, click the refresh button next to Based on your image. After clicking refresh a third time, the image gets reanalyzed in its current state and offers new suggestions.
Featured Essentials contains a list of commonly performed actions that work with most images.
LIVE CANVAS PREVIEW For most of the new actions, you're able to preview the effect on canvas before you play and commit changes to your document history. Look for the preview icon next to any listed action and mouse over the action in the list to see an on canvas preview. If you like the results you can click to play the action.
SEARCH Use the search box at the top of the Actions panel to easily find any of the many new actions bundled with Photoshop or custom actions you have created or installed. You can search using natural language (i.e. "make it pop!") or by typing specific action names directly.
APPLY ON SUBJECT OR BACKGROUND Use the 3 dot ellipses, or right click on an action, to view additional options for playing or applying an action such as only to the image's subject or background.
REVERT TO CLASSIC ACTIONS UI
While we work on create, edit, and detail views of actions, you can create new, edit, or import actions in the Classic Actions view. To switch to Classic view, use the Actions panel flyout menu and choose Classic Actions.
See Actions and the Actions panel to learn more.
BONUS FEATURE: SINGLE HISTORY STATE
To help you undo actions easier with a single undo, now by default, Actions that contain multiple steps will create a single history state rather than individual history states for each step contained in an action. You can adjust this history behavior in the Classic Actions panel Flyout menu > Playback options > Single History State

Can you email the resulting zip (or zxp) to me if possible? petgreen at adobe dot com
This will help the team investigate the issue further.

Can you share one of your resulting PSD files?
We could take a look and see if there are ways you could infuse more non-destructive workflows into your editing style.
I really feel the answer here is as c.pfaffenbichler mentions, utilize more non-destructive workflows to retain "history" (and ability to revert) within your layers panel.

Hi everyone!
The Block style of dynamic text is now available in Photoshop beta!
Dynamic text is a new form of type layer that automatically resizes and adjusts your text to fit the shape of the text boundary, and enables you to easily create different looks and layouts by resizing the type layer's boundary rectangle.
How to make dynamic text Create a Point type or Paragraph type layer, and convert to dynamic text using the new button found in the Tool options bar and Properties panel or from the Type menus.
You can customize the spacing between words or lines using the Word gap and Line gap options in the Dynamic text section of the Properties panel.
Try Dynamic text & Share what you create!
Please try Dynamic text: Block, share what you create in this forum thread, and let us know if you encounter any issues or have thoughts on how we can improve this feature!
Known issue
Dynamic text: Block doesn't quite work well with Type layers that contain bullets and numbers.
