What do you mea - missing from AE? You have no access to some assets/files in a project or you can't find your entire projects?  All your prooject to have access to them after restarting AE have to be saved on to your HDD/SSD/Flash drive so if your projects are not on your recent opened projects list in AE - just look for them on your drive and open from them. If folder where you saved your projects is empty or there is no folder anymore - it is almost sure that AE is not gulity here - you or someone else moved or deleted that folder. You can't play your lossless with transparency because Ecamm live probably does not support that file format/codec. So you have to export it to some different file format that: - is supportrd by Ecamm live - can export with transparency  What format that would be - I don't know because I dont use Ecamm live - only thing 'i could found is recomendation to use Apple ProRes 4444 for overlays with transparency. ... So... there is no way to export gifs with transparency straiht from AE but there is much better way to do that than exporting as mp4 without transparency and then keying it out in PS and then export.  You have to export from AE to mov format as f.eg. png compression (or any other that can export transparency and can be accepted by PS), then open PS import your mov file and export as gif.  ... AME and any other software is just a software - made by the people for the people, so there can be mistakes/errors and bugs. So if you have a recipe for tea (hot water + tea laves) most of us can make decent tea - but we know that some people are masters of tea making. And if you try to do something as complicated as rendering animation from AE with AME to specific codec - s...t's happens.  And also you should to remember that there is no perfect result. You are putting black logo on black composition background - it is not surprising that you can't see your logo. First we have to know specs of your computer, then we need to know what version of AE you are running. You can also check if your coputer eets minimal technical requirements of AE.  Unlinking source files is in most of the time connected to hdd/ssd issues so tell us if your files are on internal drives or you have the on external drives, network storages or any other types.  ... Your video shows as unavaliable, so we can't refer to your exact scene but what you need to know - mp4 format is not like PSD format or f.eg. a car where you can go and change wheels or lights but the rest will stay the same. mp4 format is more like a picture of your car - if you wish to change anything you have to retouch your image.  I'm not sure that clunky parallel is clear enough but long story short: 1. No you cannot simply open mp4 file in AE push edit and edit your text or change language or font 2. What you can do is - depending on your scene - use some technics available in AE to mask, retouch, "remove" your text and use text tools to put a new one in the same place. What tools to use to remove and then put a new one - here we need to see your file because it can be just a simple case of masking blurring and matte or it can be something that will need 2d/3d tracking, content aware fill etc.          ...
