I know this isnt a perfect answer, but if it's only 2 clips, can you manually re-import them (not relink, just important the current versions you have as though they were new clips) and then just manually swap out the two clips in the timeline?

Neil is 99% probably right in there is a 1% chance it's one other thing. In the Export Settings window, double check the Effects tab and make sure that "Name Overlay" isn't checkmarked.

It's for feature requests and bug reports. The page looks janky, but they DO look at it! 🙂

If this is indeed a GPU bug like Kevin seemed to indicate, then you MIGHT find a temporary fix by temporarily disabling GPU Acceleration under File - > Project Settings -> General. Set it to Software Only and see if that helps.

Just to rule out some easy possibilities....
- You dont have any track level effects applied?
- The change in waveform sizes changed IMMEDIATELY upon adding the through edits with the razor tool (or Cmd/Ctrl+K)? - You said you cleared the cache, but did you also delete the Peak files folder?

In addition to what the others said, it'd also be help to see the Motion effect properties for this clip in the Effect Controls panel. Because the clip looks off center in your screen shot, you may ALSO have moved its position in addition to it not being set to the same properties as the sequence. If youre BRAND new to editing and this program, @chusbanker 's suggestion is helpful to make sure your sequence settings match your clips.

OK, we need a LOT more info. Can you post a screen grab of your Export Settings window? And maybe your Sequence settings window as well. Can you be more specific of effects being rendered "Wrong"? And how does a cut end up a in a different place? You mean some clips are longer or shorter than you originally cut them to in the timeline?

Unfortuantely, Premiere doesnt have a spot to type in an exact height and width value (I know I know, ironic since Elements DOES), but Ann's tip, although it takes way more steps than it should, will work. You can find the option to place guides in specific places under the View menu (and make sure your Program Monitor is the active panel when you DO go to the View menu).

Ugh, I know it's a long shot, but since you first got the message, have you gone back into the project on the Android device or Windows and made a super tiny change to force a new auto save? And then go try and re-open in Premiere?

Ugh, I totally botched that. You can only duplicate sequences within a project, not projects themselves, my bad. I forgot that duplicating projects is currently a major feature request! lol.

Hmmm I'm 99% sure I read about this as a known bug a couple months ago. I thought it was fixed but could be wrong. What exact version of Premiere are you running (down to the last possible decimal)?

Couple questions to start off - do you have at least Premiere 2017? What is your seqeuence resolution and the resolution of the clips. I've seen these sorts of presets act wonky sometimes if the clips are different resolutions than one another or different than the sequence.

Pretty sure he means rendering and not exporting if he's trying to hit the Enter button. Anyway, the Enter button only renders non GPU-accelerated (i.e. red lines). If youre trying to render yellow lines (GPU-accelerated effects), the command you want (found under the Sequence menu is Render In to Out. You can reassign the Enter key to that command too to make it easier in the future!

1. Try rebooting.
2. Try resetting preferences (hold down Shift and Option and click the app icon in your dock. Keep holding down until it asks if you want to reset preferences.
3. Delete the Premiere Pro folder in your Documents folder under Adobe. Then try and relaunch.

Depending on what workflow you are more comfortable with, I'd also recommend taking a look at Dataclay's After Effects Templater. It takes a bit of time to learn the first time, but it is an AWESOME piece of software.

What version of Premiere are you using? And what OS? Resolution of your two monitors? I know there were some recently fixed issues with the eye dropped involving multiple screens when one was high DPI.
Also, still not sure I understand the second problem. When you say when you export your clip "and the screen is on the monitor it automatically opens on the laptop," what does that mean?

Can you be more specific? What do you mean you "cant do" green screen" and "final rendering? What is the monitor and what connection are you using? Are you just using it as an extended desktop screen or are you using Mercury Transmit in Preferences?

The answer is that USUALLY you will not have problems. But with so many combinations of hardware recorders and cameras, once in a while, issues do pop up. But using either the Merge Clips command or the Make Multicamera Source Sequence command and telling it to use audio to sync USUALLY works.
Worst case, if there is an issue, you can use Audition to quickly and easily convert one of the files to a different sample rate and import that into Premiere.

Worst case, if you can't get the sync to work, you should be able to go to your Documents folder, dig into Adobe, then Premiere Pro, then the version 13.0 folder and copy the Profile folder into the 14.0 folder. That should transfer your shortcuts, workspaces, etc.

Well there are two major work flows here that take too long to describe in a simple post but in short:
1. Make proxies in an edit-friendly format like ProRes Proxy or DNxHR Low Bandwidth, and then turn on the Proxies switch to make Premiere reference them while youre editing.
Pro: Work with very processor efficient codecs while editing. Exporting still automatically references the original media files
Cons: Having two copies of all your media. High end, accurate color grading isnt reliable while working with proxies so you might end up hitting the toggle proxies button a lot (not a big deal in the long run if you make a shorcut for it)
2. Just Transcode your video to a high end, edit friendly codec like ProRes 422 or DNxHR and work direct with those files
Pros: Processor efficient AND high quality. No need to toggle between proxies
Cons: Large file sizes. TECHNICALLY you're likely going to produce a double generation loss from beginning to end, but usually VERY hard to notice.

While not exactly doable, there is a somewhat fancy workflow involving After Effects where you can create MOGRTs that can read data from spreadsheets in real time which can then be used in Premiere.

The truth of the matter is that this is common in most video editing and motion graphic applications, not just Adobe software. Final Cut Pro works the same. Avid... well, it depends on the version, sometimes they're a bit more flexible. But regardless, it's common. Video editing and motion graphic software is insanely complex with support for a plethora of different video codecs and formats from a multi-decade history of digital video and as support for different formats and technologies are added and/or subtracted, it adds an insanely complicated layer to build in backwards compatibility.
