I have an issue with Pearson/Certiport as well. The content is different but the inability to reach someone knowledgeable, speaking with people who only know their own narrow lane, dead-end referrals, no response to phone messages or emails, bad telephone numbers, etc. is the same or similar.
For a few years, I have been trying to locate someone who can do a Zoom presentation to the Los Angeles InDesign User Group on InDesign certification, re-certification, currently available certifications, obsolete legacy certifications and how they are the same or different from current offerings, study protocols, etc. Everything you wanted to know about InDesign certification. Although I figured this wasn’t necessarily something that P/C did on a regular basis, I figured they were a reasonable starting place at least to point me in the right direction. They might have ideas, suggestions, or referrals. And actually, the 8 or 10 people I did speak with, all seemed to think it was a good idea. They just didn’t know who I should talk to. In some cases, I was referred to people in the corporate office. In others, I was referred to various field offices based on content or geography.
I came upon this message by accident. My purpose here isn’t so much to jump on P/C. I just wonder if anyone has any ideas on how I can make such a presentation happen—with or without P/C.
