I generally have to launch the editor twice. It normally crashes the first time launching. Second time seems to work fine. Pretty sure this is a bug. MacOS Sonoma 14.0

When I did a clean install of everything, AAM LauncherUtil, Adobe Application Manager, AAMUpdatesNotifier all were installed with Elements 2020 and all show unsupported due to them being 32 bit.. This is the reason for my question.

I had the same question. I purchased 2019 just a month before they came out with 2020. I thought Adobe would honor that and give me registration on 2020. Nope! Customer service said Adobe doesn't do that. So I guess you'll have to end up buying the upgrade, especially if you want to run Catalina OS on a Mac. I don't think Adobe will be updating 2019 version for it.

I have Photoshop Elements 2020 loaded on a Mac with the new Catalina OS. Photoshop elements works fine. But since the AAM which manages updates and registration is still 32 bit... will I still get an update notice in photoshop elements when the 64 bit version or AAM is released?

They've only known about it for over a year with Mojave. I'm seriously wondering if Adobe will drop support for elements and require a CC subscription.. or even make photoshop elements 20 a subscription based software

Since I have not seen or even read about Adobe Application Manager going 64 bit... will that mean my Photoshop Elements 18 will not be supported in the new MacOS? I really do not want to jump on the software rental train.

When I load PSE16 without 3rd party plugins, all but dxo viewpoint are gone. DXO viewpoint 2 and 3 still remains as a plugin I am hoping to hear from DXO today. I am hoping they can send me the old plugin install and uninstall files. If so, I will try reinstalling viewpoint 2 and uninstalling it again to see if it goes away. If not... I might as well just install viewpoint 2 and keep it there. I would like to know why this has happened on my MacBook Pro and not on my iMac. On my iMac, the uninstall went as it should have. no signs of viewpoint 2 on it.

clicking on the plugin from the filter menu does nothing. The plugin isn't listed in help/system info. All the working plugins are listed though.

Just to let you know... When you go into the About Plugins list and click on any of them, it shows an information popup about the plugin. When I click DXO viewpoint 2... nothing shows up. viewpoint 3 shows the information. Which tells me that it doesn't exist on the hard drive. Somewhere in Photoshop Elements 2018 it's stuck. either a cache file or something.

Here is what DXO support told me This issue has been reported previously to us by a few customers. It is bug in how Photoshop Elements handles information stored for third-party plugin programs and can happen in rare cases on certain computer systems. The issue has been reported to Adobe by ourselves as well as those customers affected by the problem. In the meantime, you may want to check the Adobe support sites. Several customers have reported to us that they found a resolution that worked for them on one of these sites. No specific information about the site, however, was given to us.

Nothing in that folder I have used EasyFind showing hidden files as well. The plugin is not located on this computer. I even turned off Time Machine thinking it might be picking up something from a backup. No joy. Its just not anywhere on my drives yet still shows up in the filter list on PSE 16

BTW. There is a guy named Adobe Jacob Meyers that asked me for my serial number for PSE 16 He also directed me to [ link deactivated for security reasons and reported for inspection by moderator ] I suspect phishing... and I don't believe Adobe customer service would ask for serials, especially with the problem I am having. Since I have DXO Viewpoint 3 installed... those files are where they are supposed to be. I even have a CC folder when I used to subscribe to Photoshop CC. No plugin for V2. I uninstalled Viewpoint 2 so those files are gone, yet it is still listed in the filter column and in the about plugin column in PSE16

Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 16.0 (20171215.m.115767) x64 Operating System: Mac OS 10.14.5 English I have looked inside those locations. The plugin is not there. Did a complete search of the HD for the plugin file. its been totally removed. I am asking DXO at the moment if they could resend me the link to the older plugin that I removed to update to the newest version.

I was told this was a bug In the software that had some kind of workaround posted in these forums. I can't find it. I have photoshop elements 2018. After removing a plugin... DXO Viewpoint 2 and upgrading to Viewpoint 3... the filter for both are showing. There is no plugin installed for viewpoint 2 anymore and there isn't any files on my MAC that refer to viewpoint 2 Anyway to edit this out of photoshop?
