How do you set the value for relavence? What is relavent to me may not be relevent to others? When I want to search for something, why does it opaque the rest of the screen? The 'Featured' posts appear like unwanted spam or tele-marketer phone calls. They provide no problem to solve, or resolution to fix a posted problem.

Is there a way to revert back to thte old look of the forum? There is no way to save your prefereances when sorting enrties. Everything is reset when you refresh the screen. The color coded entries made it easy to tell what questions were answered and which ones still needed help. The layout allows for fewer entries to be displayed before scrolling. Was user feedback requested before the new layout was pushed on the user community?

Hello, Thank you for your reply. I deleted the background image and imported it again. I was unable to un-check fit to screen during the import. I am also unable to find the position properties you mention. On the import, the image size is correct; but then reduced during the import process. Hello All, I am using Captivate 2019 11.5.1.499. I created a responsive project and want to change the background image of one of the slides. The image size is large, but no matter how I try to edit the image, it is always imported at a size of 352x627 and is centered on the back of the slide. this leaves a lot of white space on either side. I have created different versions of the image, but when it is imported, it always reverts to 352x627. I am not using fluid boxes. Any ideas why this is happening? Cheers, Peter

Hello, One option is to create a basic "menu" HTML page with a button(s) or link(s). Each button or link would point to the index file of a Captivate solution. copy the menu page and Adobe Captivate solution files to the CD. On the CD, have the autorun bring up your menu page so that the menu appears when the CD is inserted in the CD ROM. In this example, you would not be able to store or send the results of any quizzes. Hi, Using the above example (elementary /charter school) you can help enable the faculty to teach in new ways by creating resources for them. For example, one of my first ‘projects’ was a simple drag and drop interaction. The teacher was the subject matter expert and had state mandated pedagogy they wanted to follow. What they did not have was the time, or the software resource to create a SCORM module for the school’s LMS. In this case I did very little instructional design. I used my Captivate knowledge and created a SCORM learning session that met the instructor’s needs. Working as a traditional instructional designer, we often work with subject matter experts and then use our instructional design skill to craft a learning experience that meets the needs of the learner. As mentioned above, the ‘what to teach’ (content) and ‘how to teach it’ (workflow) were already prescribed. I enabled the teacher to place the tool on an LMS. This allowed the student to work on the task from home, or anywhere. Does that help? Peter

Hello, I too have felt the sting of rejection emails. At 52, I have similar experiences. Paul's reply is a very good option (I am a little biased as Paul was also my Captivate Teacher in Vegas). Consider being an enabler, versus a developer. Offer your skills to local elementary and charter school teachers. I take great pleasure in seeing my works used by kids. Granted, they are provided for free, but it does build my portfolio, reference base, and gives me experience. Word is starting to spread in the school district. Hello, I noted that when I covert my projects to video, the I get a spinning wheel between my inserted MP4 and captivate image slides... See image In my case, this is not an actual delay, but an 'inserted by-product' of converting the project to a video. I just remove the spinning wheel frames using Premier Pro. Peter

Hello All, I have created a responsive project with back ground audio. The audio clip is 4 minutes long and the project is only 2 minutes long. In audio management, I have the back ground audio set to end at the project end, and I set a 3 second fade out.I expect the audio to fad out three second from the end, but that does not happen. The clip just ends abruptly. I do not want to edit the clip as I may add a few more slides. What is the best way to have the clip fade out? Thanks for your help! Peter

Hello Friends, I am creating a responsive slide. I have three fluid boxes along the top to form a navigation bar. In the left box (FB6), I added two smart shapes and sized them the way I wanted. I copied the shapes in FB6 and tried to paste into the other two boxes (FB7, and FB8) however the shapes change their size when pasted. I have verified that FB6, FB7, and FB8 have the same fluid box attributes, and have the same height and width. I do not understand why the smart shapes change size when they are pasted into similar size fluid boxes. Do you have any ideas? Sincerely, Peter

Hello Friends, I updated, yesterday, to the latest version of Captivate 2017. Since the update, and I try to play HTML5 project, after being published, the following screen appears in the web browser: Nothing happens until I press the play button. Auto play is turned on. Below is an image of what the first slide timeline looks like: When I publish the project as a SCORM file, and load to my LMS, the project never starts. I have tried this on IE11, and FF59. If I go back to my other posted SCORM files, they start just fine; it only seems to be the projects that I publish in this updated version. Hello, The action is jump to slide 22. I have no experience with object styles and the object has no states. It is just being used as a smart shape button, and when clicked, the action is to go back to our main menu ( jump to slide 22). Each time I copy and paste the button (Smart shape) to a new slide, I have to go back and define the action that needs to be taken. Does that help identify my problem? Peter
