A strange thing has started happening to an interactive fixed layout epub I am creating for a client. I have a circle graphic with 4 segments, and I have created 5 different object states (one in normal state and one each for each highlighted segment). I have created transparent buttons on top of each segment that when clicked should go to the relevant highlighted state. When the page first loads, if I move my mouse onto one of the buttons and click it, then move to the next button and click it, it works as expected. But if I move my mouse on top of one button, then move it to the next button WITHOUT clicking anything, the entire thing disappears. There are no rollover or rolloff effects applied to any part of the graphic and I have had similar problems with other graphics in the same document that i found workarounds for, but now it is starting to get really frustrating. I even had a different graphic that worked perfectly one day, then stopped working the next, and even when I tried to recreate the working page completely identically, the new page didn't work despite every button and effect and state being identical. It is starting to drive me insane, can anyone offer any sort of insight to this? I've tried restarting InDesign, restarting my computer, etc in case it was just a glitch or something but the problem persists. This is what it should look like with one of the quadrants highlighted (I've made the buttons blue here so you can see them). If that lower left quadrant is the first thing my mouse touches, and I click it, it highlights correctly as shown. If I then move my mouse over to the lower right, then up to the top right quadrant without clicking anything, the entire graphic disappears as soon as I roll off that bottom right button, and the buttons still remain visible but no longer do anything: This is how my buttons are set up, and there are definitely no roll on or roll off actions applied: Can anyone help?
