Priyanka, once finally transferred to Perpetual Products, was no help either. Same advertisement. His manager, Dhruv, who came on the line when I asked for Supervisor, echoed the same thing, and advertisement: subscribe to CC.

Thanks for your active interest, Jeff. Today on a chat (here's your name) Himanshu insisted there was nothing he could do, short of a 30 day trial with CC purchase after that. I have CS2 because I'm on a budget (having owned this software for many years, now trying to reactivate it.) And this is a little frustrating. Not the least of which is the reminder that a hack of Adobe several years ago exposed my two most personal email addresses, causing me to have to close them. Things happen; and lesson learned in that -- NEVER give a good email address to anyone online. Meanwhile, Himanshu transferred me to sales, while I was in the middle of this process.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Nanaky. I believe that's precisely what I needed. However, I can't yet mark it as answered -- although it shows on the Adobe site as synchornized, it is still not working in my iPad, to all all books to be read. Perhaps this just needs some time to propagate -- at which point (if so) I'll come back and mark this as answered. Nonetheless, I can't thank you enough for this. Because the Adobe support is worthless, I propose a change in the next version of ADE to allow multiple authorizations in laptops. I have this in my Macbook pro, but not in iPad, which allows only one. Chat is less than worthless, referring me back here, where a posting will show for about a day, and then disappears. Even on a search, it's dropped off the face of the earth. This explains why a search for "Merge IDs" yields EVERY ONE of them being unanswered -- going back for years. --And most every other question here unanswered. And the reason for two ID's? Because Adobe allowed a hack which killed two different email addresses, prompting a new ID. Had I known, I would have stayed with one, non-functional email address, and not lost half my books. Thanks Adobe, for your placebo of a forum, and less than placebo of security. And less-than-placebo of chat. Worthless. And now seeking a new partner.

Wow, this is seemingly such a tough question. No searched forum, or even Google yields an answer for this. And chat is less than worthless -- causing me to only diminish my regard to Adobe as a company. --Sorry for the rant. I'm fresh off the chat. Question: How does one merge multiple Adobe IDs? --IF this is even possible. I have to Adobe IDs, both old email addresses, that power my Adobe Digital Editions. I am able to do multiple authorizations in my Macbook Pro, but only one in my new iPad -- which leaves me with half of the books unreadable at any given time. Merging these into one, current, valid email would be wonderful. On my Adobe, signed-in profile, there is only the ability to add ONE email address as a secondary, which I have chosen as my one valid email, so that I can actually get communication. And the problem remains. And the reason that these email addresses are old in the first place? The hack on Adobe several years ago that destroyed my two prime email addresses, personal and business, with spam. Again, I'm sorry for the tone of this.
