Yes you must now notarize your app if you are sef-distributing and want to run on Catalina. There were changes made in iOS 13 which means AIR32 is no longer supported by iOS 13 (the connection erors you are getting). As I'm sure you are aware Harman are now responsible for AIR. You will need to either upgrade to AIR 33 or downgrade your device to iOS 12. https://airsdk.harman.com/download

Performance has always caused me problems, with some versions not working and others working. That's the correct tag eg <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?> <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/32.0"> <id>com.my.app</id> <architecture>64</architecture> That's just a warning in parsing the xml. You can still do Build > Package AIR application. I am using AIR32 and IJ 2019 on Windows and packaging for 64bit works fine for me.

adl is still 32bit only. The only way to test is to test a 64bit release build. Your ANE should contain both x86 and x86_64 (which explains error 2). Harman have mentioned making adl support 64bit for Windows is on their to do list.

zwetan_uk I think their ranges could be tweaked a bit. The personal turnover range is quite narrow at 25-50, the pro range is broad at 50-200. You could have a turnover of 55 and thus have to pay 999 per year, which is a bit steep imho.

PippoApps Thinking then of an "indie" developer in say Western Europe with a gross income of $60k (before app store cut, tax, equipment etc), not a huge income relative to living costs. They fall into the pro category and would have to pay 999 pa. I definitely think the bands need further consideration from HARMAN.

I think the price ranges are OKish for say a single developer, Eg 200k per year costs 999 for the license or 0.5% of gross income. I am thinking though of a shop in, for arguments sake, India with 10 developers. Salary of developer 8k per year (? rough estimate). That's now 5% of gross income and 12.5% a developer cost. The per developer "seat" cost seems imbalanced somehow. I could be completely wrong (I am not based in India) and assume Harman have crunched all the numbers and stats from the play/app store to arrive at the tiers.

The Apple requirement suggests that if you are allowing users to sign in using Facebook, Google etc (think Firebase Auth) then you will be mandated to offer Sign in with Apple also. The technical details for developers is very limited at the moment. It will likely need an ANE to access the API.

I believe the newer API, Windows.Services.Store Namespace - Windows UWP applications | Microsoft Docs have been exposed to WinRT which means they can be called from "old school" apps. I have called their Machine Learning SDK from AIR via C# and it works really well. Microsoft are ironically opening up more and more UWP APIs to classic apps. I haven't myself implemented a store ANE but reading Win32 is now supported in the store piqued my interest. They do mention Win32 so assume it is supported. Desktop applications that use the Desktop Bridge can use the StoreContext class to implement in-app purchases and trials. However, if you have a Win32 desktop application or a desktop application that has a window handle (HWND) that is associated with the rendering framework (such as a WPF application), your application must configure the StoreContext object to specify which application window is the owner window for modal dialogs that are shown by the object.

Thanks for the detailed explanation on WebGL/Webassembly. I have often thought similarly. Browser games are an ever decreasing share of the market. It is 2019 not 2005. Most people walk around with a super-computer in their pocket. There's practically no money in targeting the browser. For Desktop there is Steam and Microsoft are now even allowing Win32 apps in their Store (UWP simply hasn't caught on). As for ads. They are built in GUI-tools which already output to HTML5 (such as Animate). They have a shelf-life of 30 days. They are not coded but churned out. I concur with PippoApps​ that installations, media screens, kiosks etc are growing markets and well suited to AIR. ​Andrew, you mentioned Audio/Video . Adobe did have in their beta release notes that they are "in the process of reworking our video pipeline to better use modern hardware capabilities and leverage native operating system API's" It would be good to know if this is still in the works? I think the key things around AV are stability and support for the latest codecs (eg HEVC on iOS).

Thanks for that. Though, you are chatting to an ANE provider There are 2 walled garden ANE providers but also others with open source. I was involved in bringing Swift support, a few patches to adt, ARKit, Kotlin, C# bindings and the Chromium based ANE for Desktop for example. Have a good weekend.

I think the Android platform details look the same Thanks for the reply. That's a little disappointing if that's the case. The current Android platform would be from late 2017 so. The base native SDK on iOS and Android is the foundation for mobile. Extensibility through ANEs is a massive strength of AIR and what is possible is tied to the base native SDK. I do believe it's imperative these are kept (relatively) up-to-date and I hope you would take that on board.

macOS comes with a zip command you can call from Terminal to update zip files 1) In the same folder as the .ane file create folder and files in this structure.
