Hey David thanks for the message The nested sequence is a 1080p video with an adjustment layer on top which I'm using for colour grading the thumbnail of me talking in the bottom right corner Regarding the drive, it's just the internal ssd drive of the mac, is the same drive the footage is on and exported to - I've put below a Blackmagic speed test score (might help) Are there any suggestions you have regarding setting up the document so that it doesn't take this long? Hey! I'm in a super frustrating situation were rendering a video via the add to render queue (media encoder) is taking literally 4 hours to render a 24min video...surely this isn't right Specs of the MacBook: OS: I'm running the latest Macbook on OS Catalina 10.15.2 Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Ram: 16GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Note: I'm running ZERO other programs while rendering, ALL files within the document that are being rendered are on my desktop (aka SSD), not an external drive of some kind See below for the specific exporting setup. The document itself is a single screen recording, with another video on top and just some audio files - nothing crazy Any help would be much appreciated, I'm thinking it shouldn't be taking this long but I'm not sure what to do

I’m just wondering how to make the two stereo levels of audio recorded via a zoom h5 mic work so that the voice sounds entered instead of in my left headphone as it does now. I tried my best to record correctly but I must have had the mic at a slight angle and not sure if there’s anything I can do to fix it

Hey, Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate your help - trying to wrap my head around this has been a challenge Okay, what if the calibration itself is set up within the monitor & also applied to the profile colour settings? It sounds strange but let me explain - when I calibrated the BenQ monitor via the BenQ software (Palette Master Element) at the end the calibration process the profile created is automatically assigned to a button “Calibration 1” physically on the monitor itself but is also applied within the Mac OS colour display profile settings (picture below) Keeping this is mind and what you mentioned earlier regarding not touching anything should this be something I chase up BenQ about as we can rule out the application as an issue? Hey thanks so much for the reply, thanks for confirming the ARC colour management also I did the test and no, the ACR displays the correct mirror image not a saturated one when Adobos RGB is set as the monitor profile (via the buttons on the display), colour profile (within display settings of the Mac) & within the working profile of the Photoshop document So keeping this in mind would you think it’s an issue with the BenQ software profile as you mentioned? I’ve been dealing with trying to get the BenQ software to work on my monitor/macbook last 5 months waiting for updates & ton of emails…I ended up clean resetting it and that seemed to do the trick with the calibration going through without a hiccup or crash..potentially this ACR issue says that there’s still problems

Hi Akash that doesn't seem to fix the issue (unticking GPU support), I also read through the FAQ & troubleshooting page but can't see anything that would help - as far as I'm aware everything is up to date like the graphics processor etc as I recently did a clean reset of my Macbook

Hi, I’ve been having issues with how Camera Raw shows my image on a wide-gamut monitor (oversaturated and inaccurate - see attached image) Setup: I’ve got a BenQ sw271 calibrated for Adobe RGB via BenQ’s Palette Master Element program with an i1 Display Calibrator. This is connected to my mid-2014 MacBook Pro The issue I’m having is that when I edit an image with my calibrated monitor (with the BenQ calibrated colour profile) in either the generic Adobe 1998 rgb profile or if I select my Benq calibrated colour profile in Camera Raw the colours are oversaturated Any suggestions on why this could be the case would be much appreciated note: the colour displays accurately when I've selected Adobe 1998 in the monitor display profile & work with adobe 1998 as my photoshop doc however I'd think (and hope) that it would also work with a calibrated profile Cheers, Dale

I'm working on an sRGB photo within Photoshop The preview within the export to web is a more accurate representation of how it looks when exported to my phone/other devices however the working file although within the sRGB profile does not do the same Why's there's such a discrepancy & how can I get the working file looking more accurate so I can work on a picture & know how it'll look (see below) Cheers, Dale

Hey Dag - just an update on the situation After 9 emails & a couple of calls, I finally got through to BenQ support - they sent me a new version of the Palette Master program which I was using to calibrate...turns out it was a bug somewhere in their calibration software which was mucking things around

Hey Dag - I'll clarify what I said (as you can probably tell I’m fairly new to this) **calibrated to sRGB** Even when both are calibrated (calibrated via the i1 display pro then untouched) & I'm working within a Photoshop Document that has the sRGB colour space they're both so different in saturation, contrast, colour etc that I'm really not sure which one to go by when it comes to exporting/ knowing which is an accurate representation of the image I’m editing To double check myself I recalibrated again last night with the same results

Hey Dave! thanks for your reply Fair call on the raw files (I didn’t actually know the colour space related to the jpeg) & yeah I understand the non-colour management of the phone - it’s been a pain but doesn’t seem like I can do much about that Do you know what would be the best way to at least match the results between the BenQ & Macbook screens? - currently also having issues with both the MacBook & BenQ looking completely different (even when both are calibrated to sRGB)- BenQ colours are dull and MacBook are more saturated

I’m a photographer & have some issues with colours being inconsistent while editing in Photoshop & exporting Here’s the process I go through shoot with Adobe RGB 1998 in Raw Import into Lightroom CC Open in Photoshop with the Adobe RGB 1998 as the colour space & edit Copy a flattened layer into a new .psd doc & convert the colour space to sRGB & export as sRGB Here’s when I run into trouble - after exporting & viewing on my phone the image looks a lot duller & less saturated. What I end up having to do is edit based on what my phone looks like & adjust the saturation based on that not what’s on my screen which as you can imagine is a pain in the butt Should I change my monitor colour space or any other settings to make it view accurately? is working in Adobe RGB 1998 & exporting as sRGB never going to work? Gear Context: I’ve got a mid-2015 MBP which was calibrated with a ColorMunki & I’ve also got a BenQsw271 which I use as an external display (calibrated with the Xrite i1 Display Pro) Note: I understand that 1998 is a larger gamut but I don’t print much, in saying that I may in the future & don’t want to lose the range Looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks! Recently I took a picture of the milky way from inside a cave. I've processed everything how I wanted and it looks great on the web but now I need to print a large version of it (700mm on shortest edge). After going back into the file I noticed a ton of redish colour in the shadows of the image around the edge of the cave (as seen below) I understand this is due to the high ISO and the camera, however, is there any way of limiting this in post processing especially for printing? I thought of going over it with a black brush at a low opacity but I'm afraid that at that size it'll look too obvious when blown up

Hi, I have 3 layers in a Photoshop CC document and I want to stack them in order to reduce the noise in the sky. To do this I used the following method Mask out everything except the sky, selected all layers then auto aligned - This didn't work The second method (Milky Way Exposure Stacking with Manual Alignment (Noise Reduction) in Adobe Photoshop - YouTube ) was masking out the layers again then having the bottom layer as "normal" and the above layers as "difference" then a mixture of transform tools and various warping methods - this, unfortunately, didn't work. I think the reason why is although the photos were all taken in the exact same place the stars had rotated over that period of time - I'm stuck and need some advice on how to do this properly, I've tried using bright luminosity masks to select the bright stars then auto-aligning but alas the auto align didn't pick up on it. Help! Ps I'm on a Mac so can't use any other third party alignment programs
