Hi all, Im sure im missing simple stuff, yet need help: sometimes when Im using minus front command, instead of just punching a whole (for example). the "front" disapears, yet, the path of the back object remains closed as the softwares fills out so the object will remain outlined. can u please direct me to what im doing wrong? I give example of before and after with image.

Hello, I wanted to color "text on path" with gradiant. I know that in order to do so, usually I go to the apearance panel and press "add new fill" which lets me choose the gradiant I want. For some reason, right now this option of "Add new fill" (or stroke) isnt available. any thoughts? thank you

Hello all, I have a file with 2 shapes: One wide line and one narrow line. I wanted to apply gradient to those lines and wanted the gradient to be for both of them together and not for each of them separately, because those line are connected. I used "compound path" command to do this, yet, the narrow line became as thick as the wide line (although the gradient worked..) Is there a way to avoid this? Thank you

Hello, as shown in image, I have several shapes and lines that together form one space within them. Inside this space I would like to put an image with clipping mask. I cant figure out how to do it. I tried several options and didnt work. May you direct me to the right way to do it? Thank you!

Hello, as in the title, I struggle with the Join command a lot. for example: in the first imageI drew 2 adjacent rectangles but as you can see in the red circle, their gradient doesnt behave the same. To fix that and make the gradient apply the same way for both of them, I tried to join them together. As seen in the second image, Join command worked with the gradient but added one extra line in the middle. What should I do in these kind of situations? Thank you all!

Hi, I created an image in illustrator and imported it to after effects. now, I want to create a solid in the same size. I tried to just use the same pixel (W and H) as presented in illustrator and the solid turned out to be way way smaller. Is there any other way? thank you

Hello all, ive been trying to figure this out for hours and couldnt find any solution. I downloaded an ai. artwork file and wanted to crop that and use it on a second file im editing. When I copy from the downloaded file to the second file, after I paste, the colors are totally different. Even if I go to the artwork file and export as PNG or JPEG - when I try to paste that on the second file, colors are still changed. Is there any solution to that? please help 😞 thank you.

Hi thanks., unfortunatally I tried it and animation just went forward, backwards and than forward again, although I have copied the same key frame. It does work for me with regular keyframes, yet, not when I use it after copy the position from my pen tool.

hey, might be, becase adding another "same values" keyframe resulted in my animation going forwards, backwards and than forward again for some reason. Can u tell me how do Iremove rove across time? not sure what that is.

Hello, I animated an object, just going in half a circle, using the method of copying the position of my pen tool, as shown on picture. it works just fine. yet, I want it to hold for 1 second in the middle of the path, before finishing it, and doesnt matter what I do, I cant do it.. I didnt get any luck trying to add key frames and duplicating them for 1 second, or using hold keyframe.. Can someone direct me to the right way? Thank you

Hi. Lets say I import 2 clips to after effects, and put them exactly to play on the same time. The upper one will be shown and heard. the bottom one, will on. I know I can play with opacity to SEE them all at once. but, what should I do if I want to just HEAR them all at once ? ty !

Hi ! I've created a clip on character animator in which my character is speaking solely, with no background on other puppet. My plan was to take it to After effects and add any background behind it. but, for some reason, it seems like my puppet has a black background that block any other background layer I wish to put under it on Ae. Is there something to do here ?

Hi all ! So im using Ch for a while now. Mostly what I do is draw characters on illustrator, then record on Ch, then moving to after effects for closeups and stuff. Now, I feel really limited in regards of what I can record on Ch. what do u recommend to do ? which software should I learn to fill some void that Ch is not dealing with ? ty !

Hi ! So when i upload any audio file to Ch, i can hear it on both sides. Enother wierd clue: After I exported my audio into after effects, i used the reverb option on part of the audio. This part and only this part was heared from both sides. On Ch, the audio input is set on stereo. What do u mean by saying mono microphone ? I use audio technica at2020

also I wan to add, that its not only after exporting. even when i hear my own recordings inside character animator. always hear on one speaker only. unlike stuff i did not record my self, whom I hear just fine.
