Thanks for trying, but you are wrong, for following reasons: - This has not always been a problem, but appeared at certain point, and never went away. It is dreamweaver. Other apps do not show backups, but volumes/drives only. Dreamveawer even shows volumes like Preboot, VM, and Updates which are otherwise no-show, even in Mac's Drive utility. - Backups are there for the purpose of backup, not to be deleted. It is a non-sense. - Apple recommends "never delete TM files manually as it will mess up the TM backups and files will get stuck in your trash." The answer marked as the solution actually does not solve this problem. My Dreamweaver shows all drives, including the time machine backups, even with sites being defined. It is very annoying. There should be a way of excluding drives from the files location in Dreamweaver.

Hi Conrad, I asked myself the same some days ago. I still cry for Fireworks. There you put the shape over, Mask command, BANG done. Anyway, there are several ways of doing it, including the instruction from Adobe site itself. Of all of them, I found this one the fastest: https://www.websitebuilderinsider.com/how-do-i-round-corners-in-photoshop/ This is done in a few clicks. the only thing is not to release the mouse until you are sure you are satisfied. So I finally turned to use next gen images on my sites, and I wanted to convert the existing JPGs and PNGs to WebP. So I thought I would test PhotoShop, even though I know I can go and do bulk conversion online. At first, I was puzzled as WebP would not show on the list of extension after I clicked Save As. Then I noticed that PS would show it for some files, but not for all. For example, PNGs that went through TinyPNG process cannot be saved as WebP. Same applies to JPGs. What's the point of this? Plus I see AVIF is nowhere in the picture. Thanks P.S. Dreamweaver even today shows empty space for WebP images. That is a shame.

Why would that matter? It's the same window with both options offered. I do Find All first to see the results and what is going to be replaced. Then I tun it again with Replace instead of Find. As BTW, I have never replaced anything without checking on it with Find first to browse through the results. But what I add is that if I run the query for this: <h1>(.*?)</h1> I get the result every time. But something like this: <h1>(.*?)</h1> <article> <h2> Only once. So, is it a bug because of multiple lines? Are there any special invisible characters in line breaks?

Hi, I use this feature fairly often. I noticed that sometimes it does not return results after the initial search that did give the results. It just happened to me again, while using regular expression. Case, step by step: - I open Dreamweaver, and use the feature for the whole local site. - I test the query first by pressing Find All button only. - I get 112 results - Then I press Find All button again and it returns zero results. No matter what I do within Dreamweaver after this, the search returns zero results. The only solution is to close the application and open it again. I use it on Mac. If I use this without regular expression turned on, I always get the results. Thanks

Hi, I need to create a line that would follow perfect circle for its length, 30% of the total circle. The line is thick 15-20 pixels, rounded ends. The color has to be a gradient. Since I cannot apply a gradient to a line, I used rounded rectangle option. Now... how do I "bend" this rectangle to make it follow a circle? As i rename a file, all references to it are renamed, so DW has no reason to tell me file no longer exists. As I said previously, after the red dot appears, if I try to rename the file again by placing the cursor in front, after hitting delete, nothing happens, yet red dot disappears in the code. That tells me it's some sort of invisible character.

Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately, deleting cache did not help. I'll try with reinstalling everything with using Adobe cleaner prior new installation. Anyway, latest Dreamweaver, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, renaming a file in DW's file tree causes this red dot to appear. I just tried it again and it happened.

It's in the code in Dreamweaver. Seeing code in browser shows nothing visual. I'll try to put it simpler: I rename a file under Dreamweaver's "Files," and red dot shows up in the code as per screenshot. In the example above, there is an invisible character in front of "l" letter (links.php). If I put the cursor in front of "l" and press delete, no visual change, second press deletes the letter "l." There is definitely some sort of character that is not showing to my eyes.

Hi, Since the last update (I believe as this started recently), if I rename a file in Dreamweaver interface, or retype the link inside html code, sometimes, a red dot appears in front of the link, like this: If I copy/paste it, red dot will not show up, but using arrows will show I need to hit it twice to pass that spot, so the character is there, whatever that is. It's only visible in the form of that dot. Why does this happen? I use iMac, latest High Sierra. Thank you

So, I just experienced the Error 16 again. I did the "root user" as per Brucgovn's post, and I was able to open Dreamweaver. Then I went back and logged on as usual, and Dreamweaver worked. Then, I disabled the root user, and apps still work. So, just by enabling the root user, opening DW as "root" helped to be able to use apps as usual. Any thoughts? Thank you P.S. The permissions on the two folders are there as they should be.

I use Creative Cloud on a PC and Macbook Pro. On Mac, it just happens way too often that I cannot open an app because of Error 16, something about configuration. I did the clean up in the past (using Adobe's Cloud clean up app), I tried changing the permissions on files, as per instructions from forums, but the only ay to fix it is to remove, i.e. Dreamweaver, and install it again. When this error happens, I cannot open any of the Cloud apps, except the Acrobat DC which works. The rest returns that Error 16 (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks in my case). I remove Dreamweaver, and install it again, and they all work. A bit of problem when traveling and using slower Internet connection. Anyone successfully found the real reason for this error? Thank you

Just be ready for more hassle if rolling back. Here is my last night experience: Being fed up with Dreamweaver 2017, I decided to go back to 2015. On Windows 10, I remove the 2017, use the Cloud app to show the previous versions, and install 2015. Once done, I open it, and Dreamweaver 2015 crashes, every single time. So I use the Cloud clean up tool to remove anything relating to Dreamweaver. I found 7 instances of Dreamweaver on the list in the DOS-like prompt window of the clean up tool. So I clean all of them, one by one. Then I realize that the clean up tool removed Photoshop and Illustrator as well, which BTW, were not on the list anyway. Then I get the Dreamweaver 2017 back on installed. I open it, and get some runtime error. I continue by hitting OK, and get in. I try to open an HTML file, BUM it crashes. Again, and again, and again... it keeps crashing. I find somewhere that windows files may be corrupted, so I run the SFC command, no errors. I finally uninstall all except Adobe DC (it was 1:30 AM), use the cloud clean up tool again (now I uninstalled the Cloud app itself as well). Then I put back all of it, and it worked. I checked it briefly last night, will do more this morning. Just so you know... And yes, this feels like Beta, shame on your team Adobe. Looking for alternatives as $55 per month should do better. Copy command jumps down towards the end of the page. It does not copy at all. I tried CTRL+C, mouse right click > Copy, nothing works.

Want to +1 for this to get fixed. Terrible experience when there are so many classes, yet not able to press the key to jump to a first letter, or use a mouse to scroll down. QA must have been testing it with i.e. 9 classes in total. Thank you
