To anyone still encountering this issue: Quicktime Pro costs money. A free solution that I'm just trying now is VLC player. VLC Has a conversion option ALSO... the file extension I'm seeing is .avi which seems a bit contrary to the previous reply on this thread. Always test and check the file after you've converted it.
