Sorry I wasn't explicit enough. A the top, underneath the bottom toolbar, there used to be a row of tabs, one for each open file. You clicked on the tab and that file is brought into focus, or un-minimized. It was above the top page that I have open, and below the toolbar. Also, "Right click to customize your favorite objects" wasn't there. It has done this before the reinstall, and I had the correct workspace saved and it was in the dropdown all the way at the top right.

I know I had this issue fixed but I had to reinstall due to a hard drive crash. I almost certainly found the answer here but I can't find it now. The open files tabs have disappeared from the toolbar section at the top of the page. I remember that the fix involved creating a new workspace when that happened, but I can't seem to make one that gets the tabs back. I am currently using the default designer workspace.

Hello I'm using CS6 and it's been annoying me for years with an " image description (alt text)" popup every time I paste an image. This was just an annoyance but now I'll be doing this up to 100 times a day. Needless to say that interrupts my work flow and $$ is $$ so I can't afford to be slowed down by something I know after the first couple times it showed up (like any non-idiot I looked up what it meant. I think this is annoying but also pretty stupid if the user never did it. I can see the helpfulness the first dozen times but after that it's been seared into my brain for a decade or so. SO is there anyway to disable it? Even if it means dsiabling all potential popups?

None of this works in Windows 11. What DOES work is select Dreamweaver.exe in the program folder, select the Compatability tab. Make sure nothing is checked. Select Change high DPI settings. Leave the first box unchecked. Select Override high DPI... System(Enhanced). It doesn't make the text as large as my old (lower resolution) monitor but it's readabe again. There may be a way to change it in your screen settings but I haven't tried that.

I'm really trying to hold my tongue but it seems like whenever I ask a simple question in this forum I get shot down because I'm "doing it wrong". Some people may want to think of that, I'm sure quite a few people seeking some simple help are also fed up with it. For some of this isn't a way of life, just a way to construct and maintain rudimentary websites.

I don't quite know how to frame this and it may already be answered, if so just link to the answer. I am trying iframes for the first time. Basically most of the pages on my site have a menu at the bottom of the page that points to different pages on my site, and that menu needs to be the same across pages. I currently copy and paste the contents in the window to the next page etc. and that works fine. However I have dozens of pages and changing all of them when I change the contents of the menu is a real PITA. So I created a page with just the contents of the menu. I can create an iframe that shows that menu page without any problems. I made the frame size fit the contents of the menu page. However if it's smaller than the menu page it shows scrollbars. a size that makes one scroll across or down to see the entire contents. I don't want that to happen, and I need it to dynamically change the size to fit the contents of the menu page if that page size changes. I can play with the width and height so that it doesn't scroll, but I don't know how this would be shown in other browsers (it does work on Firefox and IE).

I guess I don't see what the big deal is. The suggestion to export to word then copy and paste to Excel works OK. A little rearranging might be necessary. If you don't like that, go get Able to Extract Pro. For $139 it will OCR and extract anything from any pdf to any Office format, and does it extremely well. I've extracted Excel tables from almost undecipherable old photocopies.
