I was getting this error pop up too. Don't bother with a development certificate. Just use the iOS distribution certificate along with an adHoc provisioning profile to perform your debugging.

This used to be within the Publish Settings panel but it now seems to have disappeared. Could anyone please tell me how I specify the document class using Animate 20.0.1? Thanks, Mark

As Nimisha1 mentioned, I believe the `unexpected argument –package` message is due to the dash not being correct. I've just had the same issue from copying and pasting. Delete the dash and type a minus ( - ) character.

When debugging an iOS app with Animate via Debug > Debug Movie > On Device via USB I get an annoying thing happen. Let's say I have an iPad attached via a USB lightning cable and have refreshed the device list (Debug > Debug Movie > On Device via USB > Refresh Device List) and the iPad is the only device in the list. I select it and the publishing process begins. I then get a 'Connection failure' error. I check Debug > Debug Movie > On Device via USB and the list displays my iPhone X. (note the iPad is still connected and the iPhone has not been connected at all). Does anyone know why this is happening and any ideas how to prevent it? Thanks, Mark

Unfortunately that still doesn't appear to be working. AIR SDK 31.0.0.103 Xcode 9.3 iOS SDK 11.3 Animate 18.0.2 (build 126) Tested both AdHoc build/install and Debugging via USB.

With 31.0.0.90 is anyone able to debug on an iPhone X, XS or XSMax running iOS12? I seem to be able to debug on older devices but not on these newer ones. I get an application verification failed error despite the UDIDs of the devices being included the provisioning profile.

Yes, Debugging is back with 31.0.0.85. If you are compiling against Xcode 9.3 you will need to update the AIR SDK ld64 file following these instructions. Cannot compile AIR app with Xcode 9.3 iPhoneOS11.3.sdk

Using 29.0.0.122 this has no effect. But compiling against AIR 30.0.0.85 the issue seems to have disappeared. I'm not sure if 30.0.0.85 would have fixed the issue without changing the ld file though.

Hi, Since updating MacOS to 10.13.4 I can no longer install AIR Debug or AdHoc apps to any Apple device. e.g. I get the following error: iPhone X: The device has encountered an unexpected error. Error connecting to your device! I can publish the app successfully without installing it onto the connected device. I can also publish an App Store ready app and submit it to Apple and install the app onto the device via TestFlight so it does seem the .ipa itself is being created successfully. iOS 11.3 MacOS 10.13.4 iTunes 12.7.4 AIR SDK 29.0.0.122 Animate 18.0.1 Build 115 Xcode 9.2 iOS SDK 11.2 All Apple certificates and provisioning profiles are in date and were working before the update. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Thanks, Mark

After updating MacOS to 10.13.4 and Xcode to 9.3 I can no longer compile any AIR app when the path to the iOS SDK is set. i.e. /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS11.3.sdk This is building against the latest AIR SDK 29.0.0.122 Animate 18.0.1 Build 115 I get the following error: Invalid Input ld: unexpected token: !tapi-tbd-v3 file '/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS11.3.sdk/usr/lib/libc++.tbd' for architecture armv7 ld: unexpected token: !tapi-tbd-v3 file '/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS11.3.sdk/usr/lib/libc++.tbd' for architecture arm64 Has anyone any idea if there is a workaround for this? Thanks, Mark

This was being caused by the path to the iOS SDK being altered after updating Xcode. /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS XX.X .sdk

Including the Assets.car file does fix the missing icons issue. However, the launch images are still not being packaged (so for example in an iPhone 6 the app is displayed at 3:4 ratio with black panels above and below the app). Would you know how to fix this? Thanks, Mark

Yes, that issue was resolved. This is something different but still ANE related. I have discovered that if I remove all references to the ANEs from my project the .ipa file is created successfully. But if I add an ANE to the Library Path list (an ANE I know is up to date and was published under OSX Yosemite a couple of days ago) the invalid input error is immediately displayed when I try to publish. Could anyone confirm that the following spec is able to successfully publish an iOS app from Animate which includes an ANE? Adobe Animate v18 Build 107 OSX High Sierra 10.13.1 Xcode 9.3 AIR 27 or 28 iOS SDK 10.1 or 11.1 Thanks

I have several apps created in Adobe Animate which did publish fine yesterday. I 'unfortunately' had to update OSX to High Sierra 10.13.1 and Xcode to 9.3. Now whenever I try to publish any of the apps I get an 'Invalid Input' error. Tried with AIR SDK 27.0.0.128 and 28.0.0.120 Tried with iOS SDK 10.1 and 11.1 Animate v18 Build 107 Would anyone know what might be causing this and know of a fix? Thanks, Mark

The main reason for maintaining our monthly CC subscription is so we can use Animate CC to easily export apps without having to fiddle with the command line. Could the AIR/Animate CC Team please indicate when an update/fix will become available. Thanks.

Time critical why? As others have mentioned this does not affect the apps usage or ability to be submitted. It is purely an information notice.
