I have a project requiring a lens from a pair of progressive glasses to sit over background text, and distort that text appropriately. It's a fairly complex kind of distortion, and I can't figure out how to accomplish it in Photoshop. Looking for methodology or technique suggestions.

So far so good means "it's working now, but I don't necessarily have confidence that it will continue to work". As I noted in the OP, it was happening randomly. Will need more time to be sure that it's working correctly and dependably.

A little hard to describe, but here's what's happening: I create two lines of text on the screen, created as point type (as opposed to text boxes). I set the characteristics for one – font, size, tracking, etc. When I select the second line of text, the characteristics of the first one continue to show in the toolboxes. Sometimes I can't make changes to the second line at all – change values in the toolboxes, nothing happens. And sometimes when I try, the changes show up on the first (unselected) line! It doesn't happen every time, and I can't figure out what the pattern is, if any. I bought a new Macbook Pro a month ago, but this issue began today. Help? I've tried: turning off GPU acceleration recreated the file tried different fonts upgraded Suitcase Fusion (font handler) searched these forums – nothing.
