I am in the same boat. I'm in the process of getting rid of my subscription because I'm graduating and at 52.99 per month, it just wasn't worth what I was doing with it (small projects, etc). My employer just went back to version CS 6 because the rising cost of a subscription seems senseless at this point. I know a lot of other companies (at least 3 off the top of my head) who use the software version rather than the subscription service. The real shame is that they would gladly pay for upgraded software versions, but they hate the subscription model.
