We recommend that you download the installers from the Adobe site and not directly from Oracle though your use is associated with ColdFusion, even if the installers are exactly the same. This is the very reason we have provided an Adobe site that has installers procured from Oracle via a proper support contract.
If you do not find a particualr version on available on the Adobe site, please send an email to cfinstall@adobe.com and we will take care of this.

Here is the link for a really important survey for us here at Adobe. Your responses will help determine some of the potential future directions of the product. This survey is one among the series of future direction surveys posted by us. Irrespective of your participation in the previous ones, we need you to participate in this survey. Although not mandatory, it will be very useful if you can leave your contact information in the survey response for us to follow up with you. Here is the survey link again. Thank you for your time.

The official Docker images will be available within a couple months for ColdFusion 2016. Once ColdFusion 2018 is released we will have the Docker images for 2018 too. The reason you do not see a specific mention of Docker in the feature list is because it is not tied to 2018 release as such.

At the Adobe ColdFusion Summit this year, we announced the launch of the new Community portal for ColdFusion developers. The ColdFusion community portal is a one stop portal for anything ColdFusion. Ask a question, post a blog, showcase your work, post your ColdFusion testimonial or even start a discussion. The Ask a question is linked to Adobe forums where a post will be made on your behalf on the Adobe forums. You accumulate points for every contribution you make to the community portal. You start as a newbie and move up the ladder based on the points you accumulate. For instance, if you reach the highest level, which is legend, you get incentives such as a free pass to Adobe ColdFusion Summit, including travel (within the US) and accommodation during the event. Start exploring and start sharing with your fellow developers from the ColdFusion community!

Steve, Thank you for your post. I am Rakshith Naresh, Senior Product Manager for ColdFusion at Adobe. The purpose of my reply is to address the concerns that you expressed in your post. Steve Sommers To Adobe, I know you probably can't answer this but what are Adobe's plans for ColdFusion? Adobe will continue to invest in ColdFusion. We are currently working on the next major version of the product, code named Aether. With every version of the product we have seven years of support commitment. Five years if core support and two years of extended support. For instance, ColdFusion 2016 which was released last year has support till 2023. And ColdFusion Aether (to be released next year) will have support commitments till 2025. So just for the versions that we have and version being built we have support commitments till 2025. The key point that i want to highlight is, ColdFusion is not going anywhere! ColdFusion is doing well and the business is growing. I do not know if you were a part of CFSummit 2016. in the keynote we stated that ColdFusion has had double digit growth launch over launch. Here is the link for the keynote slide deck. Dreamweaver is run by a business unit different than ColdFusion business unit. The decisions made by DW product team is driven by the needs of their customers. Having said that, I do know that DW added some support for ColdFusion back into the product. Here is a documentation link that talks about this support. ColdFusion Builder is completely driven by ColdFusion business unit and we will continue to make it better. Can you tell me why you seem to hate builder? Have you tried using the most recent version? We have fixed the issues that were reported and improved the performance significantly. Give it a try and let us know your feedback. The feature request form has been fixed. It now has ColdFusion in the drop down, Thanks for reporting. It was clearly an oversight. CF Builder will continue to be supported and will not go away or rolled into DW. I just want to be very clear about that. You will see adobe executives at CFSummit discussing about ColdFusion. I look forward to seeing you at the CFSummit.

Adobe is running a ColdFusion User survey to understand various aspects related to ColdFusion such as product satisfaction, product usage, platform usage, purchase process, access to training resources and issues related to hiring CF developers. Adobe is working with a third party research organization to host and analyze the results from this survey. Survey will approximately take 20 mins of your time, but the detail in the survey may provide valuable insights into making the product, that you care for, so much better and relevant. Here is the link for the survey.

Adam and David, Do understand that the staff from Adobe who are posting on the forums have been helpful on quite a few forum posts. Sure, on a few posts they may not have suggested the best possible solution or someone else from the community may have a better solution. But isn't that the whole point of a forum discussion where each one who thinks can address the problem being described pitches in? Being the professional forum that this is and how passionate each one of us are in trying to solve problems being discussed, let us not create a situation where we drive away the very people willing to contribute. Be it contribution from Adobe or otherwise. The staff from Adobe are spending time and effort to ensure that there is no unanswered post. And in this spirit, they may have made a post when they have not fully understood the issue being faced. This needs some correction and I will pass this as a feedback to the team involved. But knowing the team personally, I know they will quickly learn and correct themselves. I will instruct the team from Adobe to continue contributing to the posts. While I appreciate all the efforts from you to contribute to the forum, let us avoid making the forum hostile and encourage contribution from everyone associated. I look forward to your support in this regard.

Please participate in this ColdFusion feature usage survey. This is not a typical feature usage survey for ColdFusion. The purpose of this survey is to understand the usage of some of the old or not-so-popular features of ColdFusion. The information gathered here will help Adobe deprecate/retain/provide alternate features in the next major version of ColdFusion. Thanks for your time.

Here's some exciting news about ColdFusion Splendor. We will soon have pre-release open for Adobe ColdFusion Splendor, next major version of ColdFusion server and ColdFusion Builder Thunder, next major version of ColdFusion Builder. This time we will have a single pre-release program for both Builder and Server. If you are interested in being a part of the pre-release, do take this survey linked here. Please realize that participating in this survey does not guarantee a pre-release invite. The plan is to start the pre-release with a reduced number of participants and eventually increase the number of pre-release of participants. You will receive an invite as soon as your interest is accepted. The acceptance may happen now or in the coming months when we decide to increase the number of pre-release participants. Your participation will be valuable in shaping up the future version of ColdFusion.
