Hi martienyland- I have not found a solution to this problem. All I have been able to determine is that the blue fields are a "feature", but that there is no way to turn them off. I have seen other people searching for some way to turn this "feature" off, but to no avail from what I have been able to find. Hopefully in future releases there will be an option to disable this, or it will just be removed as it is ugly. Sorry - if you're able to find anything, let the world know!

Thanks, but I already have all the hyperlinks set to "Invisible Rectangle", and there are still blue highlight fields around the links in Reader 10.2. If I view the PDF in other programs (iBooks, older versions of Reader) the links appear without the blue highlights. All the research I've done on this seems to point to the blue highlight fields being a "feature" of Reader 10.2, but I can't imagine that Adobe would create a feature with such a visual impact on documents without offering the option to turn that feature off? In a lot of print, online, and interactive docs both text and images are used as links (icons, buttons, etc) and having an automatic blue highlight around them really takes away from the visual impact that graphics provide. There must be an option somewhere to disable or turn these off, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Any other suggestions/ideas?

I've created a document in InDesign CS5, and when viewed on Adobe Reader 10.2 (on an iPad) all the table of contents links within the document, and all links to external websites have a blue highlight field around them. While I appreciate the fact that it makes it obvious where links are, it looks remarkably ugly to have huge blue highlights all over the document. There must be a way to turn these highlights off, right? Either from the source document within InDesign before the PDF is created, or from within Adobe Reader or Acrobat after the PDF is made? I have all the links within InDesign set to "Invisible Rectangle", and it looks great when viewed on older versions of Adobe Reader or in iBooks. Unfortunately, older versions of Adobe Reader don't support hyperlinks on tablets. So somebody using Reader 10.2, however, is now forced to view this document with ugly blue highlights. Is the only option to avoid the highlights to recommend everyone use iBooks to view the document, or is there a way in Reader 10.2 to disable these?

based on the previous posts, it seems as if they believe
they've fixed it with the latest updates, but i'm still having the
same problems with the latest versions of RH and FM. for me, all my
images come through fine, but every equation is extremely fuzzy. my
company has decided not to use RH for help, because it's unreadable
with all the fuzzy equations.

i am also on the latest FM version, 8.0.4, and the latest
RoboHelp version, and am still suffering from poor graphic imports.
as a few people have mentioned, there are workarounds where you can
manually save all the graphics elsewhere and import them separately
into RoboHelp after the FM files have been imported, but that seems
to be an ungodly amount of work to perform when you have as many
equations/graphics in your documents as i do. shouldn't RoboHelp be
able to import FM files with no loss of graphic quality?

Thanks, Colum. Unfortunately, the website you referred me to
is coming up "page cannot be displayed". I tried the main page as
well, www.grainge.org, and even tried just going through google,
and it's the same issue. Perhaps the site is down, or my company is
blocking it for some unknown reason....

I'm in the process of bringing a FrameMaker book through
RoboHelp. The FrameMaker book is basically an instruction manual /
user guide for a software program. Previously, this software has
utilized your basic HTML Help, compiled with an HTML Help editor,
and utilizing "What's This?" field level context sensitive help.
Going through RoboHelp documentation, I've seen many references
that "field-level help is not available in WebHelp, only in HTML
Help". Is there a way to get the same type of context-sensitive
help in WebHelp? I have my RoboHelp project all lined up and ready
to go, with all the necessary topics assigned to Map ID's. Will the
developer of the software simply be able to take these Map ID's,
call them out in his source code wherever needed (as was done
previously for What's This? help)? Or will he not be able to do
that, and the best we can get in WebHelp is window-level context
sensitive help?
I'm fairly new to both FrameMaker and RoboHelp, and have
learned mostly through experimenting and going through the product
documentation, so in my case the simplest explanation of the
process of getting What's This? Help in WebHelp will be the best!

I also am having the same problem with importing graphics.
The graphics come through very blurry and distorted, particularly
on equations. Has anyone found a solution to this issue yet?
