As of today Steve's link still works you have to copy the link and open it in the file browser, that will bring up the zip files. You won't be able to open the zips for preview, but from there you can copy them to your computer. You have to copy them to your computer, to download, there won't be a download link.

Hello, I'm trying to figure how to stop the clipping issues when the a limb goes over another limb. Also, the character seems to want to squat down even though I have sticks in the legs. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks ESO

I'm having an issue with illustrator changing my stroke on every tool to no fill/ no stroke. I'm setting the stroke and fill of a tool, but illustrator defaults back to no stroke no fill. I'm having to create the path say with a marquee, pencil, blob brush and then go back into properties to change it to what I need. Any ideas? I've already restarted illustrator and reset preferences.

Hello Everyone, I'm stuck with an issue that's more of a nuisance than anything. All of the sudden while working on an animation last week After Effects tools individual drop down menus stopped working. The only way I can access the under tools is by using the command key. I tried clearing preferences, restarting computer and even uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects. I have the latest build of AE and my computer is an up to date MacBook Pro. The computer is new and no other Adobe products seem to be affected. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm having an issue with the toolbar in After Effects. Today everything was working fine and then the drop down menus for the tools stopped working. After reading the forums I found that others had to unplug a second monitor to fix it. That didn't work. I have reset my preferences, restarted my computer, unplugged all peripherals and I still can't get the drop downs to work. The computer is a MacBook Pro, only a couple months old. No other Adobe products have an issue. Does anyone have any ideas before I go through uninstalling and reinstalling?

I've never had this issue before today, now I can't access the drop down menus. It is very inconvenient, has anyone discovered a workaround. The only way I can access the tools is utilizing shift and the shortcut. I have reset my preferences, restarted my computer.

Hello All, I've been working with Character Animator for quite a while, but haven't had to use nutcracker jaw before. I have a project that I need to utilize it for and for some reason I cannot get the mouth to move in the manor I'd like. I'm trying to mimic the style of jaw on the demo puppet bongo. The problem is I cannot seem to get the lower jaw from moving correctly even after pins and sticks. Either the entire mouth wants to move with the puppet completely warping it or the pins and sticks I put in don't take effect and the jaw moves separately. I have to be missing something. I've tried rigging it in several different manors from the bottom jaw being independent, to the whole mouth being independent. Any advice?

What do you have it tagged at where? How is it rigged? I would try and move the origin point down to the base and only use one pin there. Look at the balloon example at Character Animator Examples , That's how I 'd probably start to look to rig it.

Hello Everyone, I'm looking for opinions and feedback on animating limbs, specifically arms. Character Animator does great on animating faces, lipsyncs, and walk cycles, but I find it challenging to animate the limbs exactly how I want them. I'm finding it easier to use After Effects for the limbs to ensure it hits the mark exactly when I need it. How does everyone else animate limbs? Does anyone have any best practices for the limbs in CH?

Unable to import Character Animator to After Effects (2018) Check out this link. I had the same issue. Use Dynamic link, basically just drag and drop CH scene into After Effects. When, If you update your puppet in CH it will update in AE.

Make sure your puppet is selected in the timeline, then in the properties panel open up the transform tab and you'll find scale and move on x and y axis. You can use control panel to set parameters for recording, but you have to do the transforming during recording. I prefer to use After Effects for this. As far as adding images and objects, if you import them, just drag them into the timeline. They will show up in order from front on top to farthest back on bottom.

How do you import to after effects now that the New Comp from Character Animator Recording.jsx is gone from file>scripts. I can get the video to play, but the audio has to be imported separate and is a pain to line up with animation. The adobe help forums are obsolete on this.
