Thank you for the reply Michel. I checked and "Backup.tly" is the second to last file. It is followed by "catalog.buc". Also, I say several hours but it could be around the same time as yours. I just usually have to leave the computer. Sometimes I'll start it at night before bed and find it completed in the morning. The problem seems to manifest itself after the completion. I'll wake the screen to see the message saying completed successfully and after I hit ok, that's when it seems to freeze (spinning circle or frozen cursor) it can take many minutes before it responds to a command. All the while the fan is running as if the computer is working on something. I did find that in this instance, after it finally returned to functioning, which required shut down/restart a couple of times, that there was a windows update pending(I do check regularly). No idea whether this would have any impact on things Another thought I had, and I'm just grasping at straws here, is that I'm wondering if once the task is complete, meaning that box saying completed successfully appears, if the computer sits in that state for a long time until I return to it, that's messing it up somehow.
