This is the code in Spotify that is interfering with Fireworks: https://gist.github.com/764542 The version that is live does not have Fireworks in its whitelist, nor does it pause the event tap (return early after the @synchronized{} block in -[setShouldInterceptMediaKeyEvents] to emulate old behavior).
