Why is this so difficult? My monitor is pretty bad, it's a cheap monitor that I don't care to calibrate. When I do the color I what it on the Mac monitor. not on the external one. And when I see the export, I watch it on the Mac. There's should be no difference.

I don't think I can Calibrate my monitor, it has very few options. May I ask you: what's the big deal about grading without the color management option in premiere? Thank you.

Hey Jim, Yes, I know it has been discussed before and I know about the calibrated monitor. My problem is simply that I can't afford one. Since I haven't had a problem with this before, what I am asking is: Is that one option (Color Management) really helpful? or should I not use it at all? Thank you

Hello. I'm having some trouble with my colors in Premier Pro. I'm using the latest version of Premiere ProCC, an external Monitor (4K Not calibrated) and I just bought an external graphic card (Radeon RX Vega 64) It is my understanding that using the "Color Management" option under file>General it's "better" (To put it simply). Now, before I never had a problem in terms of color: What I graded and saw in my preview was pretty much what I was getting in my export but now my export is a lot less contrasty that my preview. Is it because I'm using the color management option? Should I not use it and grade it again or should I change some setting during export maybe? (I'm exporting both in ProRes HQ, and H264 4096x2160 VBR 2 pass: 48 and 60; highest bit color range and and render at maximum quality) and I have the same problem. Is there anybody that could help me with this? or anybody that could suggest a different solution? Thank you so much.

Ok, I will use 2.4:1 and see what happens. But, Am I actually losing quality by doing that? What's the best way of exporting with black bars? (let's say for a theater projector, not youtube or social media) Thanks

That actually makes it clear. Thank you!. So, if different cameras have different codecs and compression calculation, how is it possible that 2.39 or 2.35 is a universal ratio and more people use those ? Also, Would you think it's the best way to use the cinematic bars? Is there a better way I'm not aware of? Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help!

Hello, I have a problem that I can't quite understand and it might be a stupid question but I need to ask anyway. I'm currently working on a indie movie. The movie was shot in 4K (3840x2160) in 16:9 ratio. At first, to make a cinematic look, I created a sequence on 16:9 and then I added the cinematic bars (Top and Bottom) to simulate the 2.39 ratio. Then I looked a little more into it and it seems like the best solution is actually create the 2.39 ratio sequence and so I did. I created a sequence that is 3840x1606 with the intention to export later in 3840x2160 which will automatically create the black bars. First of all does anybody think that this is really the best solution? Second: am I losing any quality by doing that? somehow, the footage looks a little less sharp when the sequence is in 2.39 aspect ratio. I tried rendering it and it still not 100% as good as before. (please keep in mind that my video preview setting are: 1920x1080 or in the case of the 2.39 sequence: 1920x803. But so it was before, and still when I use the 16:9 ration, it looks sharper) Is it all in my Mind? Thank you so much to anybody willing to share an opinion.

I did it already, it doesn't work, I might found a solution though. I exported the video of the titles if after effects in 4k resolution, and imported it in a HD sequence in premiere, it's not perfect but it looks much better. Thanks guys, I tried both your ideas, but it still flickers. the thing is that when I exported the titles from after effects it was perfect, but when I import that video in premiere and re-export eveything it goes crazy and it flickers. I tried to export everything in different frames/s from after effects, but the only way it doesn't flicker in premiere is changing the sequence to 60 f/s, and of course all the footage is ruined that way, so i can't. What's the trick to make these titles?

Hello, I'm trying to create a rolling titles in premiere pro, I'm having some serious problems since everything I do, doesn't remove the flicker of thf/s e titles. I tried to apply some effects from premiere, I tried also to create the new titles in after effects, export them as video and it's perfect, but then when I import the title in premiere, the problem is still there. I also tried to export the title from after effects in 99 frames per second, and export the video from premiere in 23.976 f/s then re-import both in a new sequence in 29.976 f/s and is much better but is still not perfect, plus I'm not sure which future problem I could find with a video in 23 f/s export from a sequence in 29 f/s. is there anybody that knows how to create smooth scrolling titles? (Black background, white text, external font not in the premiere options) Thanks

Hi, there is a feature that should be part of the basic menu of adobe muse, but for some reason I really can't manage to make it work. So basically when I hover on the main menu item, it stays highlighted, but when I hover on the submenu of the parent menu item, the highlight goes away. It's a very small thing but it's really bothering me because it doesn't look good and professional. Anybody knows a way to make it work? Thank you very much.
