edit or design window clutter

Hi. When designing or editing a file, the window jumps around depending on what you click on and the window also gets automatically cluttered up with the Search box on the left and the layers panel on the right, this is really annoying and blocks the view of what you're working on. I don't want those things to automatically pop up, I'm not needing them and and don't want to have to keep closing them in order to work on my file. It's very irritating and time consuming process.
