P: Using of tags/keywords in LR, filtering, editing in PS an go back - missing in filter results

Hi Team

 

I use LR classic for managing and basic editing of photos. Often I do shooting days with i.e. 15 people and about 3.000 photos. After that I use the stars and colors to mark the best of them. Also I use tags/keywords (i.e. person names or locations).

 

In the post processing I use stars and colors AND sometimes also tags/keywords to filter some pictures for editing. So far so good. It works. But...

 

When I filter using tags/keywords and then edit a photo in PS after returning the edited photo from PS to LR (also from Luminar to LR) the photo does no longer appear in the filter results. Disabling and enabling the filter doesn't work too. I have to end LR and restart it before the tagged PSD-file appear in the filter results.

 

That problem is since several versions of the applications and it's really taking a lot of time...

    Do you still see the tags after the edits from outside the application or are they stripped?

    I just tried this, took a DNG and applied both a star rating,keyword and color label, asked to "edit in Photoshop", saw all in that rendered version. Then I altered the image and saved it back into the catalog. Again, both the star rating, keyword and color label were shown. Mac OS, all fine on this end.

      So far it works well by me. The problem occurs, when filtering (!) for a keyword, send the pic out of the filter results to PS and get it back while the filter is still active.

       

      The PSD-file is not shown in the filter results. The keyword remains still in the files and the count of images with that keyword ist correct. The count raises by 1 when sending the RAW-file to PS (remains when sending an existing PSD-file to PS). So after returning the file back from PS (also from Luminar) to LR the count is right but the number of pics shown in the filter results is (incorrect) one less.

       

      I know the behavior that tehe preview in LR is updated when an edited pic returns from PS and all works correct when using stars and colours for filtering but not for keywords.

       

      PC and notebook with Windows 10 and actual versions of PS and LR.
