I am having the same problem. I completely uninstalled the old version and tried a clean install of Version 17.0.0.134 It shows the install bar and then freezes at 29%. I have turned off virus protection (which has never interfered before) I am running OS X 10.2.2 I have tried several times, checking the troubleshooting guides, but nothing works. I have downloaded directly from the Adobe website. At the moment, I am without Flash Player, and I have no idea what to do to fix the situation. I hope you can help.
