Why isn't Harman distributing a browser or an AIR application which continues to support Flash? There are millions of games all over the internet that are ready to be a part of a new eco system, professional businesses have invested millions into applications which they will never rebuild, and soon there won't be any way to run them. If Harman helps users upgrade their Flash games and applications to work in AIR, or in an AIR browser, they could have an application store with millions of apps within a year. Harman is now holding these developers and business owners hostage, asking up to $25,000 a year for a browser that will allow them to continue using their application. It seems quite obvious that any profits from this will be short term, and then Harman will be left with a useless tool which is actually worth billions. Google and Apple make billions every year from their App Store and Play Store. This was one of their main motivations to kill off Flash. Why isn't Harman trying to do the same? AIR is a multi platform tool, with full access to CPU and GPU, and is more advanced than Html5 will ever be. AIR can do millions of things which will never be possible in html. When is the last time you saw an html game? Harman has a chance to keep AIR a leader in application development for PC, Mac, Android and iOS. Harman belongs to Samsung. They can take advantage of this to make AIR applications optimized for Samsung phones and televisions. So, Samsung owns the most powerful tool for developing 2D games and applications. Will they take advantage of this to create the best applications available on any devices, or kill off AIR?
