"the instant auto save is not possible for very large projects. and that post is about constantly auto-saving which will slow down project speed all together." Both Lightworks and DaVinci Resolve have such an Instant Auto Save feature (called by different names). It works brilliantly, even on Hollywood feature film projects, and does NOT slow things down at all. It's time for Adobe to add this to their entire lineup.

Both Resolve and Lightworks can save every change WITHOUT slowing down the application. This is what is needed and wanted for Premiere Pro. Nothing less.

Both Lightworks and DaVinci Resolve have this feature. It's not in any way resource intensive. It's instantaneous. Frequency of crashing isn't relevant. If this feature saves you from re-doing 3 hours of work once every five years, it's worth it.

In 15 years of using Premiere Pro I've never once "accidentally" changed the workspace. Nor has anyone ever complained about it in the forums. I don't think this issue warrants the use of Adobe's limited resources.

Resolve has a similar feature called Power Bins. They show up in every project, and any media added to the folders on the hard drive automatically show up in the bins.

RED RAW and ARRIRAW are both proprietary. There's no reason Adobe can't work with BMD to get Ursa Mini (and soon BMPCC 4K) media working in Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro needs the option to save every keystroke, every edit, every change we make in our project instantly and continuously to the hard drive so that crashes will never again cause lost work.
