Yes I did. And the only thing I achieved is that the app does not update itself immediately but shows up the message that update is available (see the 2nd screen in my 1st post). Before this method the app just updated itself without asking me.

Anyway you're not getting into the core issue: to disable updates check for CCD app. Forget CCP for now. I do want to run the app all the time. I don't want the app to update itself. I want to use the app without updating it.

assuming you never want to upgrade the software The thing is: I do want to install updates. Moreover I want users to install updates and CC apps themselves without admin rights. CCP says it could be achieved with CCD app, but I can't test it properly because it updates itself. After update the required functional is not working at all - asking for admin rights. Before update - ??? can't test.

why you actually need creative cloud (desktop application) open at all? Two reasons: 1. I have the information from out vendor that Adobe is going to migrate from serial number licenses to named licenses completely. So we do need the app anyway. 2. I hope that I'll be able to use the app to let non admin users manage apps and updates themselves (just like CCP promises) since we'll have to install it.

Bumping this thread since there's no any working solution and the problem persists. Dear m_vargas​ I believe you could provide some information regarding the issue. More information: I distribute Adobe CC Apps via Adobe Creative Cloud Packager and I use the setting "Elevated Privileges" that should allow users to install apps and updates themselves: But it doesn't work (still requires admin privs) and I assume it could be related to auto update issue: when the app updates itself it will not run with required privileges anymore. But I can't confirm it since I cant launch CC App without updating it first: BTW one more little issue: if I follow the link 'Full Release Notes' I can't see release notes for version 4 there. The last version I see is "Version 3.9.5.353 released on 12/14/2016".

Flash Player Plugin for Firefox browser. Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB. I use an internal update server with a silent autoupdate configuration file. Configuration file ( mms.cfg ) looks like this: AutoUpdateDisable=0 AutoUpdateInterval=2 SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1 SilentAutoUpdateServerDomain=fp-update.company.local SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging=1 It works great on Win7, but does not work on Win10. All conditions are true: service and task is present, all files in SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash are present. Task does periodically start with no errors. But update do not happen for some reason. Even no logging. Update only happens, if I run the task manually from Task Scheduler OR if I run the service manually from Services. How to reproduce: 1. Install older version of FP on Win10. 2. Create mms.cfg file with the similar content in SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash directory. 3. Wait for autoupdate - it will never happen. 4. Run the task or service manually - update will happen, plugin version in Firefox is updated.

m_vargas​, hello again. I've noticed the following message on the distribution3 page: "This page and the download links will be decommissioned on June 30, 2016". That's about a week from now and then I'll be totally unavailable of automating updates check... (well.. there is a way, but it's too heavy for a simple powershell script: send login and pass, receive and send cookie, etc.) Any updates on the issue?

m_vargas​, I'd like to bump this theme since you have changed the distribution page. As I mentioned before, I used to parse the distribution page before, using the link provided by Adobe (the one with "?auth=<my-auth-code>" at the end). Today that link has stopped working thereby I can't automate ESR updates check at all. I have to go to the new page (I received a new link, but I had to apply for the distribution again), login into my Adobe ID and only then I can see the page. So I'm coming back to the question: how can I somehow automate update checks now?! I've temporarily switched my script to parse "distribution3" page, but it can disappear at any moment.

I use internal update server in my company and deploying the ESR version company-wide. I'm trying to automate update checks to upload the actual version onto my server. I can get the current public version using a method like this: Get the major version ($VersionMajor) from here: https://fpdownload2.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/update/current/sau/currentmajor.xml Go to the major version subdir and check for the full version here: https://fpdownload2.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/update/current/sau/$VersionMajor/xml/version.xml Are there some URLs to check for the current ESR version using the method above? For now I have to parse the Flash Player Distribution page and get ESR version from there, that is absolutely inconvenient (especially now, when there are two different versions for ActiveX/Plugin)...

Hi, No, for some reason it does not exist. But there's a task in Task Scheduler that triggers the same executable as the service does. Is there a requirement to have both service and task for update to work? Can I create the service manually?

The problem appeared after migration of the update server from IIS on Win2012 server to Nginx on Ubuntu Server. The name and IP address of the server has changed as well, but we replaced mms.cfg with a new one. Most of the clients continue to update from the new server as they did from the old one. But some (including my computer and several colleagues') don't. What can be the reason and how can I fix it without reinstalling FlashPlayer?
