Hi,  I tried to copy/open the autorun .exe and I got pages of gibberish.  The readme file does not seem to say much.  Here is the install page.  When I try to open the .exe file in the photoshop folder, it says get an updated version of the program which will run on a 64 bit machine.  I know you are really trying hard to help.  But, I am not sure why PS5 won't even install, let alone open in this 64 bit Win 7 machine, when it installs and works just fine on a 32 bit Win 7 machine.  Any other suggestions? ... Hi,  I have the Photoshop 5.0 original CD.  The Autoplay is the only setup file on the CD with an .exe.  I created a new user, tried the CD again, and the same problem, nothing happens when I click on Install Photoshop 5.0.  I wait several minutes but nothing happens.  Again, this works fine on my XP SP3 machine and my Windows 7 Starter edition 32 bit.  My new laptop is a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.  So, what't next to try?  I think PS 5.0 just won't work on Windows 7 64 bit. Hello,  I turned off User Account UAC, then opened Adobe Auto Play.exe and ran as administer.  Same welcome screen, Autoplay, click Next, then click on Install Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and nothing happens.  I also have a Windows 7 32 bit notebook and Photoshop 5.0 loaded just fine.  I have tried the campadability as Windows 7, XP SP3, SP2 and still nothing happens when I click on Install Photoshop 5.0. Hi, thanks for fast reply.  I tried opening directly the Autorun file, right clicked on it, when to properties, compadibility, set for windows 7 and then tried windows xp sp3.  Still I have the same problem.  I get the opening Abobe opening screen, click on next, then click on install Photoshop 5 and then nothing happens.  I tried this time to click on install older version of Adobe Reader and it worked - I did not complete this version as it is old.  But only the Photoshop 5 Install button, shows it is receiving an input - it changes, but there is no regular installation afterwords.  Sooo???  How do I proceed? ... Hello, thanks for fast reply.  However, I don't know how to install using compatibility mode means?  Also, I cannot even get the PS5 to start to load, I all get is the opening install screen which asks which of the Adobe products to install, then I click on Install PS5 and nothing happens.  Where would I find out about "compatiblity mode" installations? ...
