@GoldingD Not sure I understand exactly what you're asking but I would have gridview of a filmstrip in front of me, then I would name one of the photos using the people/face detection functionality. Then I could leave it searching for hours, come back and see which other faces were detected. I would then find that LR was displaying a list of faces it found, and ask me if this person is Kate, for example. There would be rows of faces with "Kate?"below the thumbnail even if the person looks nothing like her. Then I would scroll down and see rows and rows of Bobs, again bearing no resemlance to Bob. There are sometimes little groupings of the right name and face, but it picks up 10 and misses 100. If I double click on the face of one of the confirmed faces, and scroll down to "Similar" I get, for the most part, much more accurate results, so I am now using this method to ID faces. I'm just not sure why the first view is so unhelpful.
