I have also had problems with this. It definitely appears to be a 64bit 32 bit conflict. I'm using Windows7 64 bit. Adobe Acrobat 9 and Office 2010. Here is typically what happens. I am in the habit of saving all my important emails as PDFs. First I copy a filename out of the email. The I select print and paste this filename into the dialogue box. At this point Outlook will lock up and the warning message pops up saying "the 32 bit print host driver has stopped working." It appears like the paste function cannot convert the contents of the clipboard to unformatted text while the print host driver is open. Some PDF printers that are fully and truly 64 bit do not have this problem. However their functionality is mediocre at best. Here's my work around. I downloaded "Pure Text" from www.stevemiller.com With this application running, I simply hit Cntrl+V after copying and prior to pasting. Fixes my problem but it's an extra move evry time I save an email.
