Since upgrading to Adobe Acrobat Pro 17 we are having issues with scanning our documents. Windows 7 Pro, 2017 Release (Classic) | Version 2017.011.30078. Scanner Fujitsu fi-6670. This is happening on multiple machines with multiple different scanners. The only solution is to downgrade to the unsupported Adobe Acrobat XI. The old Adobe seems to run OCR AFTER the scan, and works much better. New Adobe is running OCR WHILE the scanning is taking place. If I turn OCR off on the new Adobe, scan the doc, THEN run OCR after, it works fine. But I do not want to have to do this as it will require a restructure of how our users scan and file. The OCR is treating the underlines as underscores, which is garbling up the numbers above the lines. Sometimes the OCR is adding completely new numbers by itself. A solid line will look something like this ____----___---____--. Here are two mild examples. But this happens 9 times out of 10. Hitting Ctrl+F and searching "_" will select pieces of these "solid" lines. I think OCR is trying to place the number over the "_" maybe? And that is causing the numbers above them to move positions. But we have had completely new numbers get added, numbers jumping to the other side of decimals, etc. This is obviously unacceptable as it is ruining the accuracy of our data. Anyone have any idea or fixes? Thanks,
