Okay, sorry for the delay. Ctrl+E worked for the font. The Ctrl K works also as far as the changes made to font, fill etc. What I cannot get is using Ctrl K for the box size. The text box that is dropped onto the sheet is this long 12 to 16 character box. When I re-size it usually to a maximum of 4 characters the  Ctrl K does not default to that size.
