Question

Acrobat Reader pops up in front of the program I'm using to generate and print files, disrupting workflow

The business I work at exports printing labels from our packing software in pdf format, which are then printed using Adobe Reader DC. Recently Adobe Reader has been popping up in front of the packing software while trying to scan and pack the next order after the previous one had been printed, which is causing a pretty annoying disruption to workflow. Is there any way to make sure adobe doesn't pop up after printing?

Hello Darcyh,

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. As per the description above, the Adobe Reader is popping up in front of your packaging software after printing a PDF file, Is that correct?

As per the description, it seems that the packaging  software is calling the Adobe Reader DC application by itself after a print job is performed through the Reader DC.  You might  have to contact the vendor of the Packaging software you are using and have to get the settings changed as the packaging  software is invoking the Adobe Reader DC to start after the print job.

Feel free to update this discussion in case you need further assistance.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
