Adobe Acrobat Pro saving issues

Good day,

The company which I work for would like to purchase Adobe Acrobat Pro DC however being proceeding with the purchase I decided to download a trial version to see if it able to performs the functions which we require. With that said I installed a plugin which we make use of in Adobe Acrobat 9 named Quite a box of tricks which you can use to shrink the PDF document.

However when trying to shrink the PDF document using the plugin, Adbobe Acrobat Pro DC then states the below mentioned:

"Unable to complete 'save preferences' because of the following error"

The file may be ready-only or another user may have it open. Please save document with a different name or in a different folder.

Have tried all possible solutions seen on the internet however no luck.

May you please advise on a solution.

    The error message comes from the plugin. Do you use the correct version of the plugin?

    Good day,

    Thanks for your response, However I think it stay may be an adobe issue as other Adobe users have reported this on other discussions and the issue was not related to any plugins also it works effectively in Adobe Acrobat 9
