Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - WAN Download speed / Crashes / Memory Leak / Multiple Instances opening

Hi there,

I work for a large organisation. We are encountering an issue opening PDF documents in Adobe DC over WAN (MPLS) links.  The MPLS circuits themselves are performing as expected with latency in the 20 - 25 ms range. The issue becomes more serious as the size of files increases; we see memory leaks in the application and documents fail to open. This is common across multiple remote sites and when PDFs are opened locally on the same machines opening is instant.

When we try to open a pdf over the WAN it starts downloading at 64kbps, if the files to large, it just starts memory leaking and then creating multiple instances of Adobe Reader DC. Whilst its doing this, if I am to put it off the network, it instantly opens it (due to "offline files" being used within our organisation).

This is multiple users, multiple machines on any WAN site.

Please advise.

Regards,

Daniel
