Adobe reader 2019.012.20040 pdf default layout and zoom not working

Hi guys

My Adobe reader 2019.012.20040 pdf default layout and zoom is not working. I have set it to 100% but it doesn't save the default. I have read all the Google suggestions (edit>preferences>>page display>Zoom to 100% / Preferences>Document> Check "Restore last view settings when reopening document">OK) on all the platforms (and yes my Adobe is updated) and nothing seems to be working.

Please help, this is quite frustrating 😕😕

    Hi JacoSA,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, PDF default layout and zoom is not working and you have tried the above troubleshooting steps as well, correct?

The initial view setings are decided by the creator/author of the PDF file. Once the file is created only author can change the initial view settings, you can change the view while opening the file, however, as soon as the file gets closed and reopened it will open with their initial view settings.

You may please refer to the help article- https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/viewing-pdfs-viewing-preferences.html

Is this a behaviour with a particular file or with any file you try to open?

Are you the creator/author of the PDF file?

    Regards,

    Amal
