Adobe Reader - Recently Used List

After updating to the 2020.012.20041 version of Adobe Reader DC, it appears that when accessing a PDF that is stored in the %Temp% folder location, it does not store this PDF in the recently accessed PDFs list. Is this intended with the latest release and is there a way allow this to show back up in the recents list?
