Adobe Reader X: portfolio

HI, I am trying to open a PDF reader file and am asked to install the following;

For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in  Acrobat X of Adobe Reader X or later.

However when I follow through it is already installed?

Did you open the file in Acrobat Reader?

HI, Bernd, the article is marked PDF. I have opened other Acrobat files, when it attempts to open this file it prompts me to the download? and then prompts that reader is already downloaded?  thanks, Gerard

The question was, did you open the file in Acrobat Reader. Not is it a PDF. The difference is very important.

You open a file in Reader by starting Reader, and using Open from the File menu.
