After update Windows 10 Acrobat reader doesn't work

Yesterday I had a major update of Windows 10 on my computer. After that I was not able any more to open pdf files.

I already restarted the computer several times and  uninstalled acrobat reader. Then I installed it again without any results. Now I can only open pdf files via Microsoft edge. Which is not my favorite way to work with pdf files. PLease Help!
