An error occurred while trying to access the service message when trying to convert pdf files to word

Question

I am no longer able to convert my PDF files to Word in Adobe Reader XI.  I still have Windows XP has my operating system.  It comes up with "An error occurred while trying to access the service".  What can I do to fix this problem or is there any other Adobe program that will be able to convert my PDFs to Word?
