Cannot remove Error1603 message from Adobe.

I have cleared  a problem warning me that a fatal error - 1603 had occurred, but I cannot clear the warning message from Adobe by clicking on the white cross (top right) or on the word 'CLOSE'. Advice please. Thank you.

    Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, try to follow the steps mentioned below:

    1- Check for updates- launch Reader>click Help>select Check for Updates.

    2- Download and run Cleaner tool from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    3- Restart the computer.

    4- Install Reader DC from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

    Could you please confirm the version of Reader DC installed on the machine?

    To check the version, launch Reader>click Help>About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
