Question

E-mail attachment issues

Background:

OS:  Windows 7 SP1 64-bit  (all MS updates applied)

Office 365 Home and Business:  all updates applied

Hosted Exchange 2013: Intermedia

Adobe Reader DC:  all updates applied

When I open a PDF and click the e-mail icon, an Outlook message windows opens and the PDF is attached.  The message can be sent with no issue.

However, if I open Outlook and then open the PDF I can still click the e-mail icon but it locks Adobe and does not open a message window.

I haven't really taken any steps to troubleshoot other than to apply all updates.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to steps to take to remediate?

Thank you

    Hi brownr26,

Try to restart the computer, relaunch Reader and then perform the same task and see if this behavior continues.

Could you please confirm the version of Reader DC installed on your computer?

Have you tried with another pdf?

Thank you for the response.  I have rebooted and the issue persisted.  I tried several different PDF documents and the issue persisted.  The reader version is 15.020.20042

    Thank you

    Thank you for the info.

Try to update Reader to the latest and see if that changes this behavior .

Launch Reader>click Help menu>select Check for Updates
