Editing a Fillable Form

I am able to open a fillable form that someone sent me, but once I fill in data, save it, and reopen it, I am no longer able to update it.  I only have Acrobat Reader DC, so do I need the full Acrobat purchased version in order to be able to do this?

It doesn't sound like you're using Reader... Where exactly are you opening the file? Can you post a screenshot of the full window (use the Insert Image icon to do so, not by attaching it to an email reply)?

Success!  I think I was missing a step and not initially opening the form in Reader, but in a browser, then trying to edit it in Reader.  I swear I tried a million things to no avail, but I was obviously missing something.

Thank you so much for your kind help!

No, this should be possible in Reader. Are you signing the file or something like that?

No, just filling in client data (name, date of birth, address, etc.) in the light blue fillable areas.  Once I save the .pdf file and come back in to make changes, the fields are no longer editable (not in light blue),  I uninstalled the reader and reinstalled it, but the same thing happens.  My co-worker only has the reader, and she can fill in the form and come back into the form once saved, and the form is still showing as fillable.  I just can't seem to figure this out.

Does this happen with just the one file, or others as well?
