How to save as new document on iPad app

Hello, I am trying to create a form to use out in the field as an HVAC technician. I can create the form and fill it out, saving as a new document each time when on my computer. This is great because I can keep my original document unchanged. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to do anything similar on my iPad when out in the field. I always have to duplicate the document beforehand, and if I forget then Acrobat Reader always saves the document with whatever changes i have already made. Is there anyway to save as a new document from a mobile device? Am i missing something? Thanks in advance.
